Re: Tweet of the day
All said and done, I think life ban on Smith and Warner will be too harsh. They can be banned for 1 year - that should be enough.

Aussies admit to ball tampering against South Africa
In a sensational press conference, Steve Smith admitted to ball tampering during 3rd Test vs South Africa. Maybe he thought that it is no big deal to do ball tampering. Otherwise he would not have admitted it so openly. All of previous culprits would never admit to the guilt and afterwards get away with a much lesser punishment. This time ICC has awarded a lighter punishment with only 1 Test ban. But Cricket Australia has taken a very grim view of the misdeed and they may end up banning Smith and Warner for life.
I think ball tampering is done by all the teams but they are somehow able to get away with it. Smith in his naivety thought that a newcomer Bancroft will be able to hide this activity. Bancroft was caught red-handed and when picture flashed on big screen, he panicked big time and tried to hide the foreign object in his crotch. That too was caught by cameras and was being flashed on the big screen. It seems like the whole team was involved in this including coach Lehmann. Smith has tried to protect coaches but first-hand evidence says otherwise. All said and done, I think life ban will be too much. But there are rumours of Cricket Australia coming up with an exemplary punishment and they may end up banning their star players for life. Overall, a very sad state of affairs for Australian Cricket. |

Who the fuck cares?? Its a game and let each side tamper each other's balls and what not.. Just hit 6s and 4s and let the audience enjoy.

Since you are obviously not interested in cricket your opinion is out of disinterested contempt for the sport.

Re: Aussies admit to ball tampering against South Africa
Tomorrow Trump will come out and admit to voter tampering... and some of our politicians will come out and admit to EVM tampering.... All a TRP game, IMO

I thought AAP was already admitting to conflict of interest using the same concept, to get TRPs up....

Ball tampering makes it difficult to hit 4s and 6s.

That being said, reason I said life ban will be harsh is that there are other people also caught in the act. Like du Plessis used his zipper. Afridi bit the ball using his teeth in full view of cameras. Also, used his spikes to cause deterioration in pitch. These were not planned by whole team - but their individual intention was same. They were not punished so severely. Not to say that Smith and Warner should also be dealt leniently - but life ban is too much. |

'Balls are sacred" - Thou shalt not tamper with the Ball - whether it be the #metoo movement, or cricket or you are just into balls like karan johar.
it's time people took this seriously! sunny or stormy - cannot mess with those balls!!!
