Re: Do not go after an engineer
I just realized the calculation might just be incorrect. I'm hoping RameshP or Landyabhai can help me with their scientific calculators.
From what I remember, the value of e = 2.314 i = square root of -1 (negative one) pi = 3.14 Now e to the power of (i * pi)... God knows what that equals. The check says e to the power of (i * pi) but calculation is for e to the power of (2 * pi). daal mein kuchh kala hai... chalo chhodo kyun baal ki khaal nikalneka. |

According to the check e^(i Pi) = -1 0.002 + e^(i Pi) + sum (1/n^n) = 0.002 According to the calculation using scientific calc e^(2*Pi) = 535.4916555 1+ e^(2*Pi) = 535.4936555 Also found this one. Notice it is e^(Pi i) in the link and not e^(2Pi). I think I have seen this a while ago .

Re: Do not go after an engineer
Too technical even for practicing engineers. You don't come across theoretical stuff unless you are deep in design.
I felt so sad a few weeks back when I couldn't remember the value of e, and realized I have forgotten most of calculus as well. ![]() |
