Double Whammy

Woman leaves the guy and he has to pay alimony.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/i...w/58056610.cms

The court followed social norms. The social norms are anti-male. I never understood this - if marriage is over, why do we have alimony payments. This is true in almost all countries. Beats me.

Re: Double Whammy

The 'learned??' judges are, in this manner, promoting a rather sophisticated form of prostitution----------reminds me of Bernard Shaw's famous quote that marriage is legalised prostitution.
This apparent 'act of chivalry' goes totally against the much touted concept/goal of gender equality! The judges are obviously trying to show that they are 'socially highly evolved' by meting out such 'justice'!
But then, after all, unsuccessful lawyers generally try their 'luck' in becoming judges.........

Re: Double Whammy

The Judges are also bringing back Shah Bano judgement through back door.
Ignore the first line in Toilet and read the rest of the news. There is also a precedent used, which follows the 'common law'.

1. Yess,.... If Govt allows then it's Leela,... otherwise it's Lafara. Marriage is nthg but a legalized way of spreading the shitt of sexually transmitted disease and pass on to one another. First 9 months everyone tries to get out of 'there' and rest of the life... again, struggling to get in. What a pity !

2. That's true but,.... yeh kismat aajmaana, iitna saral bhi toh, nahin hota,.... they say,... kuchh paane ke liye kuchh khona bhi parta hai,.... ask that Sanghavi's subordinate lady lawyer......what it takes, ( to give ) to be a future Judge..!!
To give or get that BJ ( i mean, Black Jacket ), is not merely by Luck.

Judges are probably pushing the guys back to unsophisticated original form of prostitution. THere You bang once (or more within a short timespan of a day or night) and pay once for each transaction. Here you bang for some time and pay for the lifetime.

WHile unsuccessful lawyers become Judges in lower courts, you have to go through a lot of hoops to become a Supreme Court Judge.
