The issue is not with copying. It is with not giving credit to the original. Even as an engineer, if you create your own theory based on someone else's work, you have to reference it when you publish a paper or article.

Some Hindi movies do that .. for example, Omkara - right in the beginning says this is Vishal Bhardwaj's tribute to Othello.

So #1, take permission from the original artist or current copyright holder
#2, Credit the original in your copied/adapted/inspired version

Looks like the producers of 13B read our website and this thread in particular caught their eye

The movie has been released online at www.bigflix.com just today. So those of you who want to see a good DVD quality print should try it out.
