To conquer an enemy, you need to cut off its source of power supply. Senses are not power supply to man...they are perturbations. Man can be stabilized by controlling/shutting off perturbations completely, but cannot be conquered. To conquer it, one has to pull the plug that provides power to it. That power cord is your ignorance of your past incarnations. Once you see where you came from, you understand what actions led to which consequences, thus being able to unravel the "rules of the game called Maya". Maya is that illusion developed by the Architect to rig the game against you. Unless you see past history and put pieces together, you cannot understand Maya. The religious books are part of the illusion by the Architect to keep people interested in the game, even provide them opportunities to win big on a short time scale. The Maya makes you believe that you can dig yourself out of the hole.....those who learn of the rules are forbidden to play and/or are invited to join the Architect's cabal...those who want to put end to the game are promptly liquidated....much like the gamblers who attempt to break the casino are liquidated by those who profit from the "game".

I am inclined to believe this badripai. It is for the disciple to find the guru, the guru is not searching for disciples. Although both searching for each other and finding one another sounds so romantic... but that's not happening.

Re: Do you have a Guru ?

One challenge I see is whether I will be able to submit myself to the guru (sharan). Because I tend to see people as people, and though I have respect and admiration for many, I do not have mindset like god-loving people who can whole heartedly submit themselves to god. There is a lot of private space that somehow needs to be eliminated and don't know how that would happen.

The problem is within me. There is something for which I am holding myself from taking initiation yet... waiting for things to be cleared. May be that way; I am not ready yet on my path.

Otherwise, I am deeply inclined towards spirituality and my Guru.

How can an ignorant person determine who is knowledgeable and who isn't? Hence, the old Eastern saying...Master appears when student is ready to learn

Read the first post... guru has to be a living being... not some fictional character

I think you are confusing between a spiritual guru and a religious guru (aka mullah or priest or any other word you use for a religious leader).

Interesting. It would be nice to know how to find my power cord...aka, my previous incarnations. Looks like until I find them, I maynot be able to clearly understand the purpose. of anything.

Maya is an illusion ... an abstract and so is concept of incarnations. Your post above is all about concepts and abstractions. We two were better than that ... I thought. You accuse him and yet Landyabhai appears to have impacted you more than you were willing to let him.

Man's subservience to paanch indiryan is a reality ... you can sense ... you can feel ... you can even quantify. And we can train ourselves to rein/control. Haath kangan ko arsi kya ... Kalidasji ... he did some vrat ... it was very difficult for him. Imagine missing breakfast and lunch ... 2 meals. His chanchal man wasn't too happy. Our hero Kaldias persisted and succeeded where millions before him have tried but failed ... to control chanchal man and urges (even if for few hours).

Few thousand years from now ... there will be HOLY books and places of worship to honor great RISHI/SAGE named LORD KALIDASJI ... the great avtar of 'lord someone' who came down in human form. ANGRY RISHI descended upon evil Rakhshas of city aptly named Echarcha Puri. Lord Kalidasji sacrificed his breakfast and lunch just so we human may learn to control our Chanchal MANA, even if for few hours.

There will be Lord Kalidas Chalissas ... Jai ho.

edit/add ... roflmao ... Kalidas' sacrifice is a reality ... not an illusion ... even though, few thousand years from now, many may question very existence of 'the one' ... the great Lord named Lord Kalidasji.

Surrender! Submit! Shit ... do I see shades of Assaram typle of million gurus and demi gods. To submit ... FREE WILL is a gift ... gifted to you ... from someone higher ... perhaps someone called GOD. Only one who will expect you to surrender your 'free will' will have got to be someone in alliance with the evil. Yes?
