Salads are usually easy to make. These days even salad dressing is readily available for what ever salad you want to make. So, try some salads.

Like Sane said, even pasta's are easy to make. Just cook it according to packet instructions and get some pasta sauce.

Desserts usually take time to prepare. You might as well make good coffee and serve after dinner. Or get some after eight chocolates. Italian dinners usually have wine as part of their meal but you can skip that and serve something cold. Or you can even cut fresh fruit and serve with whipped cream for dessert.

See, you already have a simple home made full course meal right here with nice starters, main course and dessert!

Re: Share some non-desi food recipes

Here...a simple tossed Italian salad I made the other day....

Ingredients:
Spinach leaves: 1/2 cup
Lettuce: 1/2 cup, you can chop this
Small radish: 3, thinly sliced
Peppers: thinly sliced, as much as you want.
Red Onion: 1/4, thinly sliced (Optional)

Dressing:
Balsamic vinegar: 2 tbsp
Extra virgin olive oil: 2 tbsp
Sea Salt: 1/4 tsp
Mix these together

After you serve on plate:
Freshly ground pepper: As desired
Parmesan cheese: As desired.

Method:
Tear the spinach leaves, lettuce and add thinly sliced radishes, onion and peppers. Toss a bit.
Add the dressing before you serve. After you serve on a plate, ask your guest/family whether they want Parmesan cheese and/or any freshly ground pepper.

Hmmmmm... a puki-recipe inevitably requires a puki-man and a goat. At least I have no experience with either of them
