Re: Lateral puzzle

Right on the money. Dhurandhar.

In fact, I was looking for few other’s pinch-ins and responses. Hence, was waiting,...

Yup.

It’s like, if you take a cube of a solid wooden pattern
and assume that there is also an another solid cube inside it
and cut it at 45 degree in such a fashion ( as per below picture, only the top one,.. , projecting the other one at 45 degree, as it is,...)
then both the pieces will be having the top and elevation as a square inside a square
without any dotted or solid connective lines, in the engineering language.

I stil remember,...When this question was asked to us beginners at that time,
in viva, some idiots were over-thinking, like,..
the structure is in space, it has a wire frame ( wire-mesh structure ) of outer cube
and inside it, a soilid cube is floating and such,…
was too much fun and hilarious at that time, of 1st yr’s engineering viva test. Lol

----

In Maths,
we were asked to calculate the exact degree, minute and sec of angles, ( from 12 o' clock as, a 0 degree ) for a clock, when the hour and minute hands perfectly coincides at / nearly the location of 1.05, 2.10, 3.15 O' clock and so on.
as you know at 12 o' clock, it is 00d 00' 00"

Any Clue?

In other kiddy-kid lateral idiotic puzzles for 1st graders you may have 100s of such stupid thingies like this,..

Can you write red with a green pen?

Can you fit nine horses in 10 stables , one in each?

Shepherd A told to Shepard B , .. that give me 1 sheep out of your herd and I will have double the sheep than you,.
Sheperad B said, : rather give me one and we both will be having equal nos of sheep.

How many sheep each had ?

What is that, more you take out of it,.. gets bigger ?

What goes up, but never comes down?

Can you make 35 cents, using only two US coins,.. and one of them should not be a 'quarter' ?

Mike's father has four sons,.. one is MR A, then Mr. B, then Mr. C,.... who is the fourth ?

If you are a bus driver and bus has 4 wheels, 6 engines, 2 brakes, one bell and 1 driver seat, 1 conductor, with 10 kids inside the bus,.. then,..what is the age of the bus driver ?

Ek kilo ruyi ka vazan jeeyada hota hai,. Ya ek kilo paththar ka,..

One guy found a coin written with 350BC and for awhile he thought he will make lots of money on it by selling it at antique, on a second though, he simple threw it away,. Why?

What comes twice in a week but once in a year,.

Pona sau,….. ya,…. poni sau,.. – Which is bigger ?

A science student guy took one lemon and one apple and connected a small light bulb, with two two open copper wires and he inserted,.. one in an apple and one in an orange,. And ? guess what ? light Bulb is like,. Holvaay and buzaay,… holvaay and buzaay,.. How?

An elephant has fallen into a swimming pool,. Woh baahar kaise aayega?

A said to B,... I have no brother or sister, but yr father is the son of my father - who were they?

A and B going on a scooter, and A said to B,.. Yr Mother in law is the daughter of my mother in law,. who were they ?

Traveling through an under bridge, a truck guy mis-estimated the height of his truck,.. he thought it will pass safely below the under bridge,....,..
but surprisingly it just got stuck right below the under bridge,.
engineers came, all said either break the truck apart,.. or break the bridge,...
but smwhere a 6 yrs kid came from somewhere,.. dunn'o what he did,.. nothing was needed to be broken
and truck came out safely with ultra-minimal damage. what did he do ?

And tons of other such idiotic non-sensic garbage,… for which I have no interest.

Re: Lateral puzzle

number 8 .. since number 2 batsman became striker when the over finished after batsman #7 got out. Batsman # 8 got stuck on the non-striker end and thus remained not out .. not having faced a ball.

Re: Lateral puzzle

Number 8. ( Assumption : Over is a, six balls and it's not an Australian over of 8 balls )

It will be like this.

Openers came, and No. 2 guy is on the other end. ( Non-striker, safe end )

In first over, all red colors be knocked out. No. 8 came ( replacing 7 ), but he is now is on the non-striker end.

In second over, it's bowled at the opposite end, and all red ( shown ) are knocked out. Non-striker No. 8 is saved.

Re: Lateral puzzle

Few others very common and almost hundreds of time been heard riddles,.. I am sure you also have heard these 100s of times,...

No Credits for answers

Riddles and Logic Puzzles

1. You are given two ropes and a lighter. Each of the two ropes has the following property: if you light one end of the rope, it will take exactly one hour to burn to the other end. It doesn’t necessarily burn at a uniform rate. How can you measure a period of 45 minutes?

2. You put a coin in an empty bottle and insert a cork in the bottle’s opening. How can you remove the coin without taking out the cork or breaking the bottle?

3. You have 100 bags of coins each with 100 coins, but only one of these bags has gold coins. The gold coin weighs 1.01 ounce and the other coins weighs 1 ounce. You also have a scale, but can only use it once. How can you identify the bag of gold coins?

4. You are in an empty room with a transparent glass of water. The glass is a right cylinder and appears to be half full. How can you accurately figure out whether the glass is half full, more than half full, or less than half full? You have no rulers or writing utensils.

5.There is an island of monks where everyone has either brown eyes or red eyes. Monks who have red eyes are cursed, and are supposed to commit suicide at midnight. However, no one ever talks about what color eyes they have, because the monks have a vow of silence. Thus, no one knows their own eye color; they can only see the eye colors of other people, and not mention them. Every day, the monks enjoy a silent brunch together at a round table. One day, a tourist visits the island monastery, and, unaware that he’s not supposed to talk about eyes, says “At least one of you has red eyes.” Having acquired this new information, something dramatic happens among the monks. What happens?

6. How can seven trees be planted such that there are six rows of trees in straight lines consisting of three trees?

7. The police rounded up Jim, Bud and Sam yesterday, because one of them was suspected of having robbed a bank. The three suspects made the following statements under intensive questioning: Jim: I’m innocent. Bud: I’m innocent. Sam: Bud is guilty. If only one of these statements is true, who robbed the bank?

8. You are wearing a blindfold and thick gloves. An infinite number of quarters are laid out on a table of infinite area. 20 of these quarters are tails and the rest are heads. How can you can split the quarters into 2 piles where the number of tails quarters is the same in each? You are allowed to move the quarters and to flip them, but you can never tell what state a quarter is currently in.

Re: Lateral puzzle

4. wrong question. If there is a glass of water in the room, how can it be called empty And more so if some one is there to answer this already wrong question.

Anyways there are a number of ways to figure out whether it is half full or not.

1. Cross your fingers for the halfway mark.
2. Measure the glass and water with your fingers.
3. close the glass with your hand, tilt it to be horizontal and see if it makes a perfect semi circle.
4. Close the glass with your hand with one finger on the level. Revert it and see if the water level is below the finger level.
5. If you cant figure out just by seeing if the glass is more or less than half, it is not worthwhile using other means. Just drink the water and pee in it.

Re: Lateral puzzle

1. often heard puzzle.. burn 1st rope from both ends and 2nd from one end, 1st rope will take 30 minutes to finish. 2nd rope should have burnt for 30 minutes by now, now light the other end, it will burn up in 15 minutes, giving you 45 minutes.

2. cork ki maa behen to peet ke andar ghusa dene ka.. phir coin bahar aayenga.

3. take 1 coin from bag 1, 2 coins from bag 2, and so on.. making it smaller to make it easy.. assuming only 5 bags with 5 coins each. so now you have 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +5 = 15 ounces.. but when you weight the coins it says 15.4 ounces.. so culprit is bag # 4.
