Re: Lateral puzzle

Correct, only couple went for picnic. Bad parents though not taking full family.

How you guys got 28 and 35, even if we consider whole family went?

7 sisters - each having 3 babies = 21 in total
then 5 sons then couple.
Makes it 21 + 5 + 2 = 28.

Re: Lateral puzzle

OK, Folks,…. Very EZ one,..

There are Three, invisible inside, closed Boxes.
All three are labeled.

One is labeled as “Coke”
One is labeled as “ Pepsi”
One is labeled as “ Coke and Pepsi “

We are told, all boxes are labeled wrong.

One contains only the cans of Pepsi.
One contains only the cans of Coke.
One contains the mixture of Pepsi and Coke cans,.. BUT,....all boxes are labeled wrong.

You need to open only one box ( any of them ) , don’t have to look inside,…. just take one can out,
and
Then have to label all three boxes correctly. How you will do that?

Re: Lateral puzzle

There are only two ways wherein all of these labels will be wrong.
Starting with label coke, it can be either Pepsi or mixture.
If you assume, coke label has Pepsi, then Pepsi label has to contain mixture and mixture label had to contain Pepsi.
If you assume coke label has mixture, then Pepsi label will contain coke and mixture will contain Pepsi.
Now you pick a can from the box labeled mixture. If it is Pepsi, then box labeled coke will have mixture (since it can contain Pepsi or mixture and Pepsi is cut off now).

Re: Lateral puzzle

^ I think, you got it,....

The point ( answer ) is, you will open the "Coke and Pepsi" box and take an item out from that box,... and it will help to 'correct labeling' all of the rest boxes,..

Original puzzle was of Orange and Apple box, but I changed due to the google search trick , as it's on 10s of pages,..

Quote:
3 Boxes

There are three boxes. One is labeled "APPLES" another is labeled "ORANGES". The last one is labeled "APPLES AND ORANGES". You know that each is labeled incorrectly. You may ask me to pick one fruit from one box which you choose.

How can you label the boxes correctly?
This was my reply at an another place, when I'd solved it,..

Ok,… First, You will Open a box labeled ‘Apples and Oranges’.
now,...You know that this box does not contain ‘ Mixes of both’ for sure.
Say,…If this fruit is an apple, then label this box as ‘Apple’.

Now,.. If you look at the box labeled as ‘Oranges’,
we know that since the label is incorrect, this box either has only apples in it or has Mixes. Since we already know which box contains only apples, ( solved earlier )
we know that, the box labeled as ‘Oranges’ contains ‘Mixture’. So label it as – Apples and Oranges .

Now The 3rd remainder box will only be labeled as ‘Oranges’, naturally.

-----

Other poor logic could be that,.. since there is not restriction about feeling sense mentioned,.... while picking the one fruit out and seeing it,.. before that also you can cheat by feeling it with hand the other fruits in it,...
and in that case,... you can also choose the other two boxes ( any one of them - " non - mixture " one labelled ) as opening it first too,..

.

The Orange and Apple puzzle was easy. Coke and Pepsi puzzle was hard.

Re: Lateral puzzle

^^ EZ for Google expertises ?

Sssshh,... Bhaya, aise hi touch-feel se, bandh-box mein,.. haath daalne ko, jo yadi koi deta,..... toh apple-orange toh kya cheez hai,...... Hum toh,.. Blind-fold mein hi,....
Sunny, Mallika, Sonam aur Radhika aapte tak ko bhi, identify kar jaate !

K. here R' two darn EZ ones,..

1)

On a piece of paper,...

draw a
square,
rectangle
ellipse,
circle
pentagon
triangle
hexagon
octagon
lamb-gol ( a rectangle, but the left and right side is a regular arc-curvature )

[ all are regular shapes and regular arc and curvature, regular pentagon,.. etc . Size does not matter, but Let assume you draw all,... so it will fit somewhere ( roughly ) in 1"x 1" square - more or less, no perfect fitting needed,.... rough idea,. )

ODD MAN OUT. Which will be that ?

2)

...

A road splits into two, somewhat like this,…

At the split, two guys are sitting there,….

One guy always speaks the truth,…. The other guy, always speaks the lie,…

You do not know who is who,…..

You have to go to the church, and only one road can take you there,
Church is far and not any tower or anything visible or so,…..

You need to ask only one question to any of the guys, and take correct decision, to take that road to reach the church. How would you achieve it ?
