That worst blizzard in 1996 I remember snowed continuously for 3 days dumping almost 6 feet of snow.. and guess what except school closure. everything was normal.. even laundry shop were open!!!! no kidding that. You could go and buy hotdogs off roadside vendors.. I know it cos that is what we ate those days as we were too bloody lazy to cook for ourself.. (and I love hotdogs well made that is.. so I go to only specific vendors)..

Looks like there has been some real snow in Desi State NJ this week and still going on. Pelu ji, did you move back to NJ??

Why does it surprise you? I've seen snow in March in OH and I think even in April once. I recall having to wear a jacket till the month of May one year, my general rule is to wear jacket if temp is below 40 Fahrenheit.

In TV, i heard '80 inches of snow in NJ', thats what reminded me of Peluji. probably it was '8 to 10' inches. Looks like there were power outages out there.
In Apna relatively northern gaaon also it regularly snows in April.

8 to 10 inches is serious.. I guess when it snows that heavy it's a storm system gone awry.
