when the oil was going for $100, they were selling the same for $40. now that the oil is brought to $40, isis is having tough time making money.

OIL production costs are around $35-$40, and saudi is making peanuts on selling OIL, but they are continuing selling at the same rate just to stop funding isis. Also for sauis the production costs are atleast $10 less than elsewhere(around $27.00).

But they couldn't be selling any significant amount of oil, could they ? Wouldn't there be tons of international regulations/treaties/inspections for that large deals ? ISIS couldn't be making much money from the oil sales - certainly not enough to fund an economy as well as a war. Surely they have some huge donors.

Also, the weapons... must be very expensive. I wonder how the international community allows such huge quantity of expensive weapons on the black market.

Thumbs down Re: ISIS burns alive captive Jordanian pilot

Finally got to see the horrific video in full without edits. The last few minutes of the video is where they show the horrific act.

I think most of the ISIS fighters are psychopaths and sociopaths who 'enjoy' torturing and killing human beings. They just allow the most base instincts rule their actions.

Its also reported in different news outlets that ISIS takes westerners captive for hostage. Its supposed to be a big money making industry for ISIS. This extortion/ransom money must be funding their weapons.

ISIS is supposedly having many westerns in its ranks. I wonder how they find its ideology attractive.

Folks with Antisocial personality disorder .. who may also be thinking being badass is cool. I sometimes wonder if combat video games only elevate the feelings that the whole world is just a surreal game.

meanwhile,

Kingdom of Jordan Reacts to Murder of their Pilot - Will Execute 5 ISIS Prisoners!

LINK

The Kingdom of Jordan reacted with both sadness and anger at the news that their pilot, 1st Lt. Muadh al-Kasasbeh had been murdered by ISIS. News broke on Tuesday that ISIS had released a video showing Muadh al-Kasasbeh being burned alive for his “crimes.” Jordan had been working to have the pilot released but negotiations with ISIS had broken down in recent days and things had begun to look grim.

Not only was this horrible news for Jordan, but it was bad news for a few prisoners in Jordanian custody. The government of Jordan has identified a few of their prisoners who are connected to ISIS and in response to the murder of al-Kasasbeh, the government plans to execute each ISIS connected prisoner.

They’re not joking around…

That seems to be most plausible explanation.
They love what they are allowed to do and they don't care about ideology.

Or maybe they are brainwashed by religion hardliners.

They are brainwashed. Once you become victims of these mental manipulators, its hard to say no to them. Usually they target young crowd (below 30's).

Re: ISIS burns alive captive Jordanian pilot

Jordan's King Abdullah II to 'personally fly sorties to bomb ISIS in revenge for pilot's blood'

Quote:
After ISIS execution, angry King Abdullah quotes Clint Eastwood to U.S. lawmakers

Members of the House Armed Services Committee met with Jordan's King Abdullah Tuesday not long after news broke that ISIS had burned to death a Jordanian pilot captured in the fight against the terrorist group. In a private session with lawmakers, the king showed an extraordinary measure of anger — anger which he expressed by citing American movie icon Clint Eastwood.

"He said there is going to be retribution like ISIS hasn't seen," said Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr., a Marine Corps veteran of two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, who was in the meeting with the king. "He mentioned 'Unforgiven' and he mentioned Clint Eastwood, and he actually quoted a part of the movie."

Hunter would not say which part of "Unforgiven" the king quoted, but noted it was where Eastwood's character describes how he is going to deliver his retribution. There is a scene in the picture in which Eastwood's character, William Munny, says, "Any man I see out there, I'm gonna kill him. Any son of a bitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only going to kill him, I'm going to kill his wife and all his friends and burn his damn house down."

"He's angry," Hunter said of King Abdullah. "They're starting more sorties tomorrow than they've ever had. They're starting tomorrow. And he said, 'The only problem we're going to have is running out of fuel and bullets.'"

"He's ready to get it on," Hunter added. "He really is. It reminded me of how we were after 9/11. We were ready to give it to them."

Well if the King really is giving it back to them, I suppose the lease any other country can do is to cooperate and support Jordan.

You know it would be good to start fighting these terrorists seriously (not that so far the soldiers arnt being serious), collectively as one world against these extremists, not as one nation. So proud of all these soldiers!

Re: ISIS burns alive captive Jordanian pilot

This is all serious stuff, and not to derail this thread, but I often wonder what huge threat do these "few men wearing pathani salwar suits in 30 year old beaten down Ford trucks with a Machine Gun welded in the trunk" pose? Is this all being overplayed by Western media? At the most they have few shoulder held rocket launchers.

Coming back to the present issue, the Jordanian prince was going to release ransom money but decided otherwise since he didn't get video proof of the pilot being alive still. It seems to me like ISIS is running wild since nobody is ready to commit troops on ground and get involved in a big manner.

Hadnt they agreed to release that lady on death row too if IS proved that the prisoner is alive? I guess the Jordan pilot was killed way before they started making demands.

Temples and churches I visit, message is always of Karma and Peace.

I wonder what these murderous fanatics are taught in their places of worship?

This is really sad. Humanity is going to the gutters.
