Lazy bones

Do you have days when you feel tired since you got up, feel like not doing anything at all? If yes, do you try to get out of it, what do you do?

I am expecting responses like

1) you are old now (not true, I celebrated my 30th birthday last month - well maybe not my 30th, but not far off )

2) you are suffering from depression (I am not)

3) Get medical help (huh?)

When I feel this way, i just do what I need to do (like dropping the kids at daycare), come home and do exactly that...nothing at all. Its extremely therapeutic. I believe its body's way of saying it needs rest (physical and emotional). It has worked wonders in the past. Try that.

call in sick...its just a day; the company can and will run without you.

P.S: works only if you are alone...not with spouse.

Totally agree. It has worked for me. When I was in India, I used a do it proactively without body telling me. But in US, I do what 28Virgo suggested

BTW, why it does not work with spouse?

You got kids ?? If yes, then you have to follow their schedule whether you are well or not. Get them ready for school, breakfast etc..etc..

If no, then just lie in till you feel strong enough to get up, or the pressure gets too much

err... shouldn't that be womenopause And there in lies your solution, Kkakr pai. It is right there in that word... womenopause. Stop going to those porn sites... pretty soon you will recover your energy... and be as good as new. Then you get right back to work... and work... and work on to pay off your mortgage bills... and car notes... and other expenses

Sleep early. Avoid FB twitter, etc. Have more coffee. Treadmill or elliptical also ends laziness.

Right! Excess porn would do that to you.

Go get a massajja from an Asian lady. You will be better in 60 mins.

Re: Lazy bones

I did think this morning though that I am putting on weight and that is probably contributing to increase in lethargy.

I am not on FB nor on twitter, so cannot lay off them....

porn on the other hand.... how do I switch off my brain?

taking Napolean's advise, coffee with 4 spoons of sugar....

Doing exercise will surely help. Also, reducing the amount of rice and increasing salad intake.
