Freshly baked biscuits anyone?

Well, today is one of those days when I haven’t got much to do and hubby is at work. I got bored and thought let me make my favorite classic biscuits!!! Easy to make and it literally takes 15 minutes!

Ingredients:
All purpose flour- 1 cup
Baking Powder: 1 tsp
Sugar- ¼ cup, powdered
Salt- a pinch
Shortening- 1 tbsp (I used ghee...no Sarv, you cannot skip this part)
Milk- ¼ cup

Method:
  • Mix all the ingredients above with the exception of ghee and milk.
  • Once you mix them, add ghee followed by milk and bring the dough to roti dough consistency.
  • Grease a flat board and roll the dough (just like roti but ½ an inch thick)
  • If you have a biscuit cutter, cut them to desired shape. I used my Bru coffee lid to make the round shape.
  • Grease the oven safe pan and place the round’s in it.
  • Preheat the over to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the biscuits for 15 minutes.
  • Yummy yummy yummy biscuits ready!!!
Dont you wish to have these now

When I was a little girl, we didn’t have an oven at home. So, Mommy used to deep fry these biscuits for my sis and I. And we both used to fight over the left over dough before mommy deep-fries the biscuits; trust me, the raw dough tastes heavenly….ah the memories!
