Thumbs up Congress at work: Worry about your own survival Pakistan

Congress government at work!

Quote:
Forget Kashmir, worry about your own survival: Krishna to Pak

WASHINGTON: Forget Kashmir, worry about your own survival. This was the blunt message India's external affairs minister SM Krishna gave Pakistan after Islamabad's familiar rhetoric on Kashmir at the United Nations through its foreign minister SM Qureshi scuttled an expected meeting between the two.

In some of the sharpest language emanating from India, the normally affable Krishna taunted Pakistan and its representative for using the Kashmir issue as a "ploy" to deflect attention from its parlous internal situation arising from governance issues related to home-grown terrorism and the recent floods.

Pakistan, Krishna suggested, ratcheted up the Kashmir issue whenever things were going well for India or going badly for Pakistan in a "pattern" that had been going on for sixty-plus years.

Indeed, for three days preceding Krishna's response, Qureshi cranked up rhetoric on Kashmir in a throwback to the 1990s, including at a UN address in which he demanded that Kashmiris should be allowed to exercise their right of self- determination "through a free, fair and impartial plebiscite under the United Nations auspices" and referred to human rights abuses in Kashmir. Earlier, he also sought US intervention in the matter.

Krishna's terse response, in which he pointedly referred to the "Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir," included telling an Asia Society audience that New Delhi had held many referendums in the state in form of universally recognized elections, an oblique dig at the military dominated neighbor.

In an earlier comment, Krishna had said Pakistan should "vacate" the part of Kashmir it occupies (as called for by the UN resolution), a point that New Delhi seldom makes, but seems to have been provoked into remembering because of Islamabad raising the stakes through Qureshi.

"Such unsolicited remarks will not and indeed, cannot, divert attention from the multiple problems Pakistan needs to tackle for the common good of its people, and of the entire region," Krishna said about Qureshi's rants on Kashmir in New York.

The indirect exchanges ensured that the two foreign ministers left New York for home without a formal meeting, and the incremental progress on the Kashmir issue made through back channels during the past decade, based on which the US is also pushing for a resolution, remains on ice.

In fact, the growing feeling in New Delhi and Washington is that Qureshi is merely fronting for a hard-line Pakistani military which is not inclined towards peace with India because it finds dividends in continued attrition and confrontation.

Indeed, Krishna's decision not to meet Qureshi came amid continued Pakistani resistance to act on the Mumbai terrorist attack perpetrators. In fact, it transpires that Pakistan's arrest of the key planner of the attack, Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi, is a sham.

In his book, Obama's War, Bob Woodward quotes US National Security Advisor Jim Jones as telling Pakistani leaders that Lakhvi is not being adequately interrogated, and more shockingly, "he continues to direct LeT operations from his detention center."

The books also reveals most of the US leadership regards Pakistan Army Chief Kayani as a two-faced liar, and that Pakistan has not really given up on its sponsorship of terrorism.

Still, for form's sake, Krishna said Qureshi was welcome to visit India for "some of" the Commonwealth Games where they could pick up the threads of the now tattered dialogue. Before he left New York, Qureshi, who has been insisting that he wants a "result-oriented dialogue" and not a photo-op, gave no indication if he would go to New Delhi for the Games -- or talks.

Re: Congress at work: Worry about your own survival Pakistan

The government in Pakistan is failing; army is bound to stage coup, so as to divert attention from the multiple problems Pakistan is facing.

It is a failed nation, even their news paper accepts so and it is difficult to address multiple power centers in Pakistan, it would be better for Indians if they start talking to scaffolds that are holding it together

It was good Krishna said so; right dose at the right time is always required.

Re: Congress at work: Worry about your own survival Pakistan

What about India's own survival? I feel that this is the infamous soft Hindutva line that is being towed here. India is poor and hungry so what if you go around in cars. The average Indian is a village dweller and has a problem getting two square meals a day. This is inspite of the last 60+ years of Independance. Corruption is rampant and there is an eternal threat to the secular fabric of the nation from the Hindu fanatics. What else is required for being a failed state. The judiciary is afraid of giving out a ruling in favour of the Babri Masjid. Shame!

Re: Congress at work: Worry about your own survival Pakistan

Pakistan's reply will be somewhat along the lines

'dont worry about our survival. we are doing ok and taking all possible measures to deal with our issues. it would be better for you to look into your own issues and not suppress popular opinion with force. we are with the people of kashmir in their struggle for self determination.'

Agreed, but if you compare India with all the countries in the subcontinent, we are miles ahead of them. Pakistan is such a shithole that even a piece of turd would refuse to get into it, Bangladeshis are giving their right arm, leg, eyes and testicle to enter India anyday, Junta has nothing to do with Junta in Myanmaar and Srlanka has a lot more to worry about itself.

You seem to be a radical therefore you do not see what's the reality. The reality is that Pakistan appears to be a failed state due to the undue importance given to the happenings related to religion. But Indians are more into brushing their failures under the carpet.

This way of earning cheap brownie points by pourposefully degarading Pakistan to massage your false ego will not help you hide the truth that India as a state is heading for a disaster.

If Muslims cannot live freely, even in areas like Kashmir, how can claim to success be made? It only sound's hollow!

Thanks for calling me a radical, I have come a full circle on EC..... from liberal to pseudo-sickular to radical.

Pakistan does not appear to be but IS a failed state:

  • It has not decided if it wants to be a democracy or dictatorship in 64 years, instead it chose for stupidocracy time and again.
  • Military can do ungli any time they want to.
  • ISI runs the parallel show.
  • Pakistan has been a bhikikhari from the day one of its existence.
  • Everytime it tries to attack India, gets fucked thoroughly, goes back to US, begs for some more arms, comes back to be fucked again. I think pakistan is essentially a sexually masochist nation; just couldn't get enough.
  • Leave Hindus or christians, in Pakistan minority muslim sects are not safe.
  • Pakistan likes to think that it leads muslims of the world but the reality is that no other nation gives a damn about pakistan, so everytime it has to run to US for allowance to get its assh0£3 stitched.

heee hee haw haw haw... all you are concerned about is how muslims live?
on that topic - are the muslims happy in pakistan? no place to live, nothing to eat, have to run around even for water - fuck other issues, tell me do you even have basic fundamental food clothing and shelter for an average pakistani? The world does not even want to help in a time of crisis because everybody knows, help to pakistan is money and efforts down the shithole really.
now tell me what are muslims in India really concerned about! food? clothing? shelter? Hajj allowance?
seriously, lets talk about conditions in India later. First tell me how are pakis surviving?

Your arguments at best can be termed as lewd and cheap. The average Pakistani is better fed than an Indian. No I'm not in admiration of Pakistan. I'm more of a global citizen. You seem to have changed from the earlier posts that you had posted. This is the reason why there is a deficit of trust amongst the minorities in India. The seemingly secular people of India are downright communal, just rub the surface and it becomes crystal clear. You are no different and I'm not even surprised leave alone shocked at your demeanor displayed here. First establish trust in the minorities by calling a spade a spade. Accept that by unwelcome shoddy comparisons with Pakistan you cannot glorify India. But India and Pakistan today are being exploited by the USA and the west. Come together and fight them first. This will bring both nations new glory.

Re: Congress at work: Worry about your own survival Pakistan

On a side note, whatever happened to the Plight of the Kashmiri Pandits? Weren't they the sons of soil too like their Muslim Bretheren? They were threatened, looted and Killed (by infiltrating terrorists from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) and finally forced to abandon their homes. How come nobody talks about them in the International Forums?

Why isn't the issue of the Freedom Struggle in Balochistan highlighted by India every time the Pakis try to bring up the Kashmir issue?

I apologize if I sounded lewd and cheap. Blame it on my limited vocabulary, when I see a naked person I call it a naked person, I can't adorn it with embellishments and adjectives to cover its nudity. And, such is the extent of the nudity of pakistani society that it is completely devoid of any trace of rationality, humanity or responsibility. In fact pakistan is a shithole where shit does not decompose, in ordinary circumstances shit breaks down into manure, which is very fertile and useful. The only fertility pakistani society provides the world is with extremism: extremism of opinions, extremism of faith and above all extremism of action via terrorism.

You might be a global citizen, while that sounds profound but means little. I am not a blind indian nationalist, I can see where my India falters and I hold my opinion against that as well. I am not a regular, stupid, irrational, faith-maddened, quran-spitting, head-buried-in-the-ground with ass-saluting-the-world pakistani who lives in a history which is not his. The problem with pakistan is that it has got no history. Consequently, it is committing all sorts of blunders so that it can learn from them. I pity pakistan, not because of the state it is in today but I see it disappearing in the oblivion and reducing to the children tales. Pakistan has no hope. A day will come when people would tell their children the stories about pakistan: " Once there was a horrible nation called pakistan, ironically, there was nothing pak about that".

Dude, I agree that USA is a problem but we don't need a nuisance value for a company to fight USA. We can and we will take care of USA. We are a huge market, where will USA go to, China? Naah, sooner or later we'd come to learn to deal with USA on our terms. We've been fighting them and other western countries in WTO for last 10 years successfully.

Pakistan will get us nothing. Maybe a gas pipeline or a cut in defence budget but it will add to our problems as well. Better, we wait for pakistan to be disappeared from the map of the world.

Unicorn pai, India might still be the same in 2047 after 100 years of independence, but sadly Pakistan would cease to exist.

What is definition of failed state?
A state where we have multiple power centers, like there were multiple power centre at the end of every empire in Indian history
There are multiple power centres in Pakistan, whom should India address to solve any problem?
India survives drought and flood every year without begging for foreign aid, India gave $ 5 million to Pakistan for flood aid and in return Indian troops were fighting Pakistani sponsored terrorist in Kashmir area on very same day.

Check in Pakistan, what is condition of Hindus and Sikhs and cross check it with condition of Muslims in India, constitutionally no Indian is subjected to be second rate citizen like ahmeddiya in Pakistan, check what is XX amendment? When was last time Shia rally was bombed in India? There is no absurd thing like hudood ordinance? When India had dictator? India is poor but India is not failed state, India doesn’t have multiple power centers, never a general will say to prime minister like gen. kiyani warned government of Pakistan.
Tell me in where in the world Muslims get hajj subsidy? Where they get separate civil code in non Muslim country? Tell me whether I can follow my religion freely in Saudi Arabia?

And who brought US in the region; it is Pakistan who initially asked the interlocutor in Kashmir, India never wanted that. Now they are killing Pakistani on daily basis and giving money in aid? Pakistan brought US on his soil now Pakistan should deal with US.
Uncle sam is feeding Pakistan, if Pakistan tries to throw uncle sam out, not only their butt will get kicked, Pakistan will starve to death.

NATO says aircraft entered Pakistan, killed "armed individuals"
30 Sep 2010 13:21:07 GMT
Source: Reuters

KABUL, Sept 30 (Reuters) - NATO aircraft crossed the border into Pakistan on Thursday morning and killed "several armed individuals", the alliance said in a statement, after Pakistan said a cross-border airstrike killed three border guards.

Aircraft from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) initially crossed the border briefly while targeting suspected insurgents who were firing on a coalition base from a position inside Afghanistan, the statement said.

They were then fired on by people in Pakistan, and crossed the border again to target that group.

"Operating in self-defence, the ISAF aircraft entered into Pakistani airspace killing several armed individuals," the statement said.

The statement did not say if ISAF thought those killed were border guards, and when asked for clarification, an ISAF spokeswoman said both sides were still investigating the incident. (Reporting by Sayed Salahuddin; Editing by Emma Graham-Harrison)

This SM Krishna like Obama doesn't have a mind of his own. He picked these lines up during conversations with American officials. He is being indirectly tutored. If left on his own, he would be at total loss for words. Desh ki naak kata dega.
