Post Review of Sacred Games Season 1 - Netflix Original Series

Gritty and shocking!!

It's a very fast moving story. Gangs of Wasseypur meets 24. Good storyline and acting. The profanity-laced dialogues are entertaining. Nawaquddin Siddiqui is perfect for this role. And so is Said Ali Khan.

Worth a watch.

I was impressed by the actress (kubra Sait) who played the transgender (Cuckoo)..

Jitendra Joshi and Neha Shitole (constable Katekar and his wife) were superb too..

There are only 8 episodes in first season? When is next season starting?
They have maintained curiosity level throughout.

There is no certain date for season 2 episodes. That makes me less enthusiastic.

Re: Review of Sacred Games

Catching on this now. Enjoyed the characters talking about emergency and Bofors.
But it is based on a novel by Vikram Chandra (NDTV). So, also expect a lot of secularism and how peaceful people are killed in encounters.

This post made me watch episode 4 again. The voice did sound
I was too drunk while watching episode 4 and did fully not catch that transgender part (pissing in men's loo did not register in the drunk consciousness).

Thumbs up Re: Review of Sacred Games

Okay, with the long Thanksgiving weekend, I binge watched the entire season in a day!! Awesome show.. (I veen binge watched Mirzapur and completed season 1)

Why can't the faggots like Karan Johar and the 3 Khans give us something like this instead of the shit they dish out?

Re: Review of Sacred Games Season 1 - Netflix Original Series

Down to last 20 minutes where these guys are interrogating the minister bhonsle.
For all the Gali Galoch, feminism and a couple of topless scenes, the underlying theme is JNUsqe Ramesh Suresh Style.
A. Hindutva is the main problem.
B. Hindutva politicians stage terror attacks as an excuse to attack Pakistan. Anurag Kashyap is trying to be Oliver stone.
In show’s lingo “Anurag Kashyap Sab ko Chutiya Bana raha hai”

How did you come to THAT conclusion?? Totally not what I got from the ending.

Re: Review of Sacred Games Season 1 - Netflix Original Series

^^
I am still 20 minutes from the ending. But that may not change much.

The interrogation with Minister Bhonsle gives away this.
He claims that India has never attacked any country but will attack if attacked. And he is stockpiling weapons for a large scale terror attack. That means he is creating an excuse to attack.
In earlier episodes he is shown as a Hindutva politician who wants peaceful guys to be prevented from voting.
This leads to their showing that Hindutva leaders are behind terror attacks. Somewhat like Maachis claimed that all the attacks on Hindus supposedly by Khalistanis were staged by Congress.

Plus, the novel is written by Vikram Chandra.
