Good point. it was during my ragging that i came to know what Shiv Linga was and the senior was in a flow - "Imagine a whole country worshiping a D**. now, ancient India was open sexually until the peaceful guys came and spoiled all the fun."

Anyways, coming to this specific case, the Anchor Suraj and many of his callers (like one who did not allow his daughter to wear anything other than a salwar kameez) would definitely not approve of the dress that was worn by the lady advertising Viran Forte.

The show's video is still not available so make do with the poster now.

Answer of the day

One good point raised was that the commandos fighting terror in Mumbai attacks got a khatara BEST bus to ride where as the Cricket guys got a Bullet proof Volvo Bus.

Re: Question of the day

Lot of cultures worship the phallus, Shiv Linga is a quite a modest and cryptic symbol.

I have always thought that the security forces fighting the known enemy are appreciated but the ones fighting the threats within don't have that status. Why should Police, CRPF, Firefighters be treated and considered not at par with Armed defense forces?

Quota system, per http://www.thehindu.com/sport/other-...cle8603649.ece

Quote:
Due to the Quota System, an athlete’s participation is not guaranteed by his ranking in the world, but in his home country.

A Quota Place in Olympics is about how many players can represent a country in a given event. This means an athlete’s participation is not guaranteed by his ranking in the world, but by that in his home country.

For example, if a nation has world No. 1, 2 and 3 athletes, but has only two quota places, the three need to compete among themselves to secure the two quota places. The eliminated athlete, even if he or she’s better than the others at the world level, can go to the Olympics only at the invitation of the world body of the respective sport or through open qualifying events.

This issue has gained prominence after Olympic bronze-winning wrestler Sushil Kumar has been left hanging by the Quota Place system after his reclassification from the 68kg to the 74kg weight category. Each nation can win only one quota place in every weight class. India has won eight out of a maximum 18 available spots and this will be the biggest ever wrestling squad to compete in the Olympics from the country.

Fellow wrestler Narsingh earned the only quota place for the country by winning a bronze medal in the Las Vegas world championship in the 74kg category in 2015.

Sushil, who could not compete in Las Vegas due to a shoulder injury, has been demanding a trial between them to confirm the quota. As Narsingh refused, Sushil may move court.

So many officials can tag along, but why not an extra wrestler. probably it is a prelude to doing away wrestling from Olympics just when India was getting there (Chinese conspiracy??)

Rio-bound wrestler Narsingh Yadav fails dope test, Olympic in doubt

Rio-bound wrestler Narsingh Yadav has reportedly tested positive for a banned substance. Though NADA was initially dragging its feet over announcing the development officially, sources in the Wrestling Federation of India have confirmed the news.

- Narsingh was originally supposed to represent India in wrestling in the 74kg category
- Both his samples were tested positive

I would think we lose that spot. I don't know though.

His team is denying the charges and saying someone must have added something in his food I hope that is the case, but who knows...

This maharaja of Patiala was known to have a large harem. He also used to parade his wrect 8 in chi which was reputed to drive away evil spirits.

Why talk about him now?

One of his descendants is now the Punjab CM
