Re: Weekend dillemma - What to watch?

iNTERSTELLaR :

Last night, watched the movie Interstellar, for the first time,.. as It was having a DVD already ripped on my computer, a while back,..
and thereafter I had forgot for last 5-8 weeks, and all of a sudden from one other forum, it reminded me.

It’s a good and excellent sci movie no doubt, but still I had liked the “ Gravity “ a little more than this one.

Read ashdoc’s review, on Interstellar
and certain things still did not get it properly,...
so will have to watch interstellar once more, but this time, will turn on the audio of Editor's commentary, to understand the movie better.

Excellent one and a no miss scientific watch, if u did not watch it yet !

Re: Weekend dillemma - What to watch?

The SHemaroo channel on Youtube has all Dev Anand movies.
Caught up on Kala pani this weekend.
My first thought was - "They had good script writers those days". Then wikied and found out that it was based on a firang novel.
It is an engrossing movie, but moves at a very uneven pace towards the end, i.e. it just drags for some time and suddenly the story is all over.

Re: Weekend dillemma - What to watch?

^^ For old movies, many a times you will find it on "spuul" and the quality will be a lot better than YT, Dailymotion, google or apnamovies

Put in searchbox here any names ( with price range as " free" selected )
https://spuul.com/search?page=1&per_page=60&price=free

Quality will be too good.

^^

I found and unfound spuul long back.

There are also 3 tv serials Malgudi Days, Nukkad and Fauji.

Check spuul.com
But, it used to endlessly play trailers of one Bhutiyapanti movie and one on 'Atlanta ka number one IT salesman' and the pic quality was horrible.
The uploads in YT are from the guys who made the VCD / DVD, i.e. Shemaroo, Ultra, etc. So, they are good. Though in the Smart TV, this app also hangs frequently. Probably, that is why it was missing for a long time.

Re: Weekend dillemma - What to watch?

^^

IMO, if you can wait till DVD is out, Einthusan has got good quality,
also if you pay them a little, they also allow you to watch Bluray qlties,

firsttube - also has goods quality and they have also DVD and Bluray sort of quality, if waited,.. ,

rajshri has its own free set of movies of rajshri productions,..on their web sites for free.

Also sominaltvfilms has their YT section which just like Shemaroo, you can find on YT and by that way, can avoid all virus ads and other interruptions.

On YT and Google video search you can sometimes find good quality movies on Japanese and Korean websites too.

Re: Weekend dillemma - What to watch?

You must watch Detective Bakshi if you love mystery plot. This movie is full of twist and turns. Totally unexpected story and characters.

I also thought i had zero respect for romance. I get irritated by all the Hakla movies or those like Jab we met. This till i saw 1 hour of 'Roman Holiday' (40s or 50s movie *ing Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn). i like it quite a bit and would finish it whenever my bachcha log allow me. In case you have Amazon Prime, you can catch it.

For a moment i could not believe i was liking a romantic movie. Then i figured out, i am not against romance but Childish Desi romance shown in bollywood.

And coming back to the video, my idea of real love would be to keep the better half safe rather than have romance with her on the road.

Re: Weekend dillemma - What to watch?

Sgars, helmets were not a thing until very recently. Even my mom never wore a helmet when my dad still was driving a motor bike. You cannot possibly equate love and safety based on a helmet?i was kidding about romance part.

My best romance movies was possibly from olden days too. Something like Casablanca and Sound of Music.

The first 5 minutes are too fast and poorly edited. But then, after the titles, it seems to be a good bollywood version of godfather. Got to see then TV stars like Archana Joglekar and Radha Seth.

Check on Minute 26 for some good dialog exchange where a Don's wife does'nt want her daughter to marry a don.

More whenever i finish it.
