Is there anything that happens in the second half that is dramatic and thrilling and worth watching? Or should I throw this one too into the very short list of unfinished movies? I just have a handful of movies that I never completed watching... maybe 4 or 5. What do I do

Sorry Bud, watched this till the 25th minute and decided it was not worth enduring this. You could do 2 things - Forward till the last 10 minutes and find out what happened in the end, or use this whenever you have insomnia.

I did the same for another movie 'Siddharth'. Saw first 20 minutes and the last 15 minutes and realized hardly anything had moved in the middle hour and half. Looks like a revival of 80s art movies.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Caught up on "Mardaani' yesterday. I normally dont like either Yash raj productions or Rani Mukherjee movies.
But this one is quite decent, like an action thriller.
Plot keeps moving at a brisk pace and very little emotional drama (which would have irritated me). Rani Mukherjee plays a good 'Action Heroine'.

Now, the disclaimer is that normally when i like a movie, very few like it.

Finished the show.. great one, and I must say my kinda show.. interesting story, good characters and believable stuff. Seems like this show has a cult following/many fans.. there's even a site called http://www.savewalterwhite.com/

I can see where Walt is coming from.. missed the chance of a good life and fame, given the talent he has and then life strikes second blow.. cancer. The story is presented from his point of view so it natural for you to be more of on his side. Gus' acting was good too.. there are people with 2 faces around. Jesse is eventually the one with the heart of gold, at least somewhat. The writing for Saul Goodman (check the site), top notch, I believe it could be the actor himself since he's a writer.

I've started with 'Orange is the new black' .. first 2 episodes were okay. I'd rate it 2.5/5.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

I dont know. At some point White started being the greedy one (with respect as perhaps thats what everyone would do) where he started behaving like he can buy anything and everything (his family included) with money.

And yes, Jessie turned out to be my favorite by the end of it.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Mike says it about Walt.. that his ego spoiled everything.. that they has a nice thing going, everything was like clockwork but Walt had to be the boss, he couldn't just continue cooking and minding his own business.

Anyway, the show was excellent. I wonder how all these years I managed to not know about this hit series.

A lot of people have this wrong notion that this is about drug addicts. So I guess they avoid watching it until someone recommends it to them.

Started "Matru ka..."... good start, let's see how long I take to finish it.

Good. But they have taken it off now. They still have some age old bollywood movies like "Do Raahen"

i could use it whenever i need to go to sleep
It took me some time to finish "Amar Prem' (in amazon prime). Great songs, but too much of slow tragedy, though it picks up some pace in the end and has a kind of happy ending.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

recent views -

1. Mercenaries

Short, cheeky, low budget movie. so liked it. wanted to check out Brigitte Nielsen, but she looks more like Bruce Willis with hair. But Kristanna Loken is worth watching if you like the girl in front in the poster. In case you like girls kicking butts, you would like it. Never mind that Kazakhstan is full of GMCs and Dodges in the movie.

2. 'Micky Virus' - If you see half of it, it looks interesting, but after seeing the whole movie, my verdict was, "Jhand movie", to use the Delhi terminology used in the movie.
I read about it in wiki after i saw the movie and found it hilarious that some actually had a concern that all the hacking scenes could inspire real life cyber crimes.
Basically, it tries to be an a grade movie, but is no more than a b grade movie with a ridiculous suspense. Onbly thing worth watching is the lady who features on the cover in Netflix.

Peacepai, have you seen the movie? i have a feeling you will like it!
