Relating my recent Netflix watch Powder, where the drug smuggler based in Mumbai is planning escape to Dubai to be with his Nigerian drug lord, as he faces heat from police, NCB and DRI.

The series was aired in 2010 on Sony, the opening remarks bother me every time when the narrator says the drug smuggling business world over is worth 5B.. I'm like not possible, googled and found out they missed a couple zeroes. It's almost 500B.

There is one thing where the movie is off mark. The politician ticking off ISI agent. Cant happen out there.

It seems more inspired by what rr patil was trying till he got stopped by margaret alva, gurudas kamat and co.

My 3 liner on the movie.
It starts as 'development vs livelihood' and this ahmedi character in an nri medha patkar.
There is a murder and investigation goes on with whole puzzle coming together in last few minutes.
A 'political thriller' slow, but decent performance by supriya pathak and abhay deol as madrasi and picks up speed in the end.
Caught it again on Netflix now. Now, we have heard of Uprest and agitation against many projects (Singur, Nandigram, Narmada, etc.) and in a few cases uprest for a project (Gujarat Farmers for Narmada). But never have we seen an Uprest and a whole political party agitating for a Business Park project with Jai Vikas. But you see that in "Shanghai". Good guys are those who stall projects, bad guys are those who support projects. Abhay Deol is a good guy at heart but forced to be with bad guys. Somewhat like 'Charavyuh' by Prakash Jha.

Sounds all Lefty.. Why not. The producer and director is Dibakar Banerjee. There were many who took part in award wapasi, but he trumped all of them by returning an award which was somebody else's
Again, Abhay Deol's performance as a Madrasi, plus a brief role by Farooq Shaikh RIP could make it worth watching.

I started watching this Netflix series, Shameless. Highly inappropriate but hilarious at the same time. If you have time, do watch it. You are welcome!

It has a few episodes touching statutory rape. David duchovny runs into a girl and like almost every other lady he runs into, has sex with her. Then he discovers she is under 18. For more details catch the series.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

I remembered the promos and reviews of “Dil hai tumhara” when it released in 2002.
So decided to catch up when I saw it on Netflix. 10 minutes and I decided to jump to pick up what happens i the end and forward to last 20 minutes (the movie is 2 hours and 50 minutes excluding the credits)

In the sixth of this movie I saw, it is highly sentimental and romantic and the music has the stamp of Nadeem shravan. And I checked in wiki, it is NS. So, it is like Saajan. Now, wonder is How could Kundan Shah (RIP and award wapasi) make this when he made Jane Bhigi do yaaron years back.

Ashdoc seems to be talking about a Bollywood movie. The movie which has s there seems to be a Hollywood or Latino movie.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Padmavat is out on amazon prime - Good FX - Enjoyed the movie over the weekend! Reccomend! - Didn't understand why all those karnisena types had an issue with the movie.. overall seemed well made and didn't seem derogatory towards anyone..
