Re: L N Mittal at Mumbai RTO

Maybe he needs it as an ID and not necessarily for driving.

Re: L N Mittal at Mumbai RTO

SS Pa, Obviously he would have gone in with a Chaffeur. But would one call it 'Drives in' The headline could have used 'lands up' or something else. 'Drives in' implies he would have driven himself.

Actually the body of the news item uses "turned up at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) at Tardeo" , which is correct, but the headline "Drives in" shows that the guy who wrote the headline has not had a second look at the item or is not familiar with too many words.

Re: L N Mittal at Mumbai RTO

So how much bribe would he have paid? My times it was Rs. 100... don't know what the going rate is. Heard that you just bribe the person at the door and wait... your license is in your hands in a couple of hours, whether you can drive or not

actually, if he had to bribe, why would he have wasted time going to the RTO office? I am sure the cost of his time is far too much to go into RTO office to pay the bribe himself.
ummm no bribe. It must be a bet he made with someone...

you betcha...that should be it...no other reason for him to come personally for such things in mera bharat mahan.

ek purana kissa yaad aaya.

i have a distant cousin, he is a tapori type fella.

once he was caught by mamu/bagla (traffic cop).

mamu demamded some money. he had none.

mamu bola, licence dena padega, baad mein local RTO se collect karna padega.

bro took out 3 of them and asked mamu
"kaun sa chahiye ??"

this makes me laugh everytime i remember this.
