Netflix movies worth watching

Here's my list of movies that are worth watching.

- IP Man (good martial arts movie)
- Skyfall
- Traffic
- Ghanchakar (haven't seen it yet)
- Ring

That's all I can think for now.

Skyfall - does not come up to expectations... you can drop it from your list and wait for the next JB movie.

Traffic - Decent movie... if you like this type. Multiple stories with no connection... or forced connections...

Ring - Good movie... but I got equally scared watching Click.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

I have a unending list of movies to watch... last count was at 8572 movies... and increasing. I have no time to watch at all... need to cancel all cable and everything... waste of time, I say.

Well done. Cable is also a waste of money.

I cancelled cable long back. The kids watch the stuff streamed from Netflix, Amazon or youtube. I actually took an antenna recently to catch up on whats happening near me. There 20+ channels in apna gaon.

Naya gaon. Recently shifted herre from LA. About 130 miles from you. Actually 20 or so got tuned, but at one time only 8 or 9 are actually beaming.

OK, counted the numbers. On a good day there were 24 channels showing up. On a not so good day there were 14 channels showing up. I use them to check local news and weather and CBS/ABC/Fox are enough for that.

Arial to laga ke dekho. probably you will get more channels.

In LA, i disconnected the cable, but the free channels (did not count them but they were anywhere between 40 and 60) used to come in.

Sgars,, Immediatly after 9/11 in NYC, they had passed an order to remove all those antennas in the manhattan area.. dunno if it was followed up or enforced.. but it was there.. there was a bit of naa nakur but don't think much.. surprised they allow it in LA..

I think someone told Guliani that these can be used as a ODA..and so a risk.. I remember it quite clearly. It was a city ordinance.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

GPel Bhai, apni aisi kahan haisiyat ki Manhattan me ghar ho (even on lease).

I doubt whether any one in Manhatan would worry about the savings from using antenna instead of cable. Any way, in apna gaon in Mid west, it is allowed and i bpught it from walmart. It is a small portable one from RCA which you can put behind your TV. (over over it, if it is good old Picture tube wala TV)

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

SInce the topic is on Netflix, i could add some movies i watched while the Discs and streaming were bundled. These have some unusual movies, difficult to get.

1. Devdas *ing Dilip Kumar. I found this original one much more watchable than whatever little i watched of the 2003 one (i watched first 20 mins and Madhuri's starting dance). In terms of acting, Ash is nowehere close to Suchitra Sen ( the gradnma of Ritya and Raima sen)

2. Athadu (gult) - THis because the guy next to me in Hyd always kept on telling every one how great it was. I found it OK as a typical Mahesh Babu movie. I mean time pass, but not some classic to constantly praise.

3. Kaafila (2007). Now, i was intrigued by this movie, which had Sunny Paji starring as a Pakistani! This one is a cult classic, which trakes you all the way across eastern europe for some guys in search of better life and some in search of 'Liquid Plutonium'. My head was actually spinning by the end of the movie. I was wondering how one of the characters, was getting quite a bit of impirtance. When i checked on who the actor was, i found that he was the prodicer and director of the movie!

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Today, I saw Kagemusha on Netflix instant streaming. It was an amazing movie by Akira Kurosawa, who is considered one of the worlds best directors. Definitely worth a watch. Highly recommend.
