Wink Lets help Bollywood to make films we can enjoy

I was thinking of the last several movies I saw.
I have just noted down films which can be called 'good desi remakes'. Now we know that Bollywood always gets 'inspiration' from Hollywood, but of late, the copying is getting more and more. Almost every movie is now a 'inspired' remake of some Hollywood movie or TV show.

The movies listed above are made by directors who know how to make a good desi masala movie given an original Hollywood flick. So how about we come up with our favorite Hollywood films which can be remade into good desi masala movies?

good start cha pai

Indiana Jones series....the bad remakes of which were Naksha and Rudraksh

I still think a decent desi movie can be derived from this series

1. Memento - But wait I think Aamir khan is already making Ghajini which is remake of Tamil movie which was inspired from Memento

2. Shawshank redemption

3. Pulp fiction - If not made propely, it could turn out another Tashan.

Wonder how "KillBill" would be if remade into Masala pot boiler? We would need a black-belt qualified Heroine who would shake it up too.

If you notice the film Kaante you will realise that its a mix of 'The Usual Suspects' + 'Heat' + 'Reservoir Dogs'. I liked Kaante a lot. So I would want the same director to make Pulp Fiction.

Prinyanka can do the shaking
But she it too delicate for other action shots.
To remake a holly movie is very difficult...cause those movies are mainly written with this audience in mind, so most of the remakes are flop. I think we should stick with remaking bolly, tamil, telgu, mallu, marathi or so on movies with some new masala.

Another one which I liked, and I know DesiBaba loved, is Musafir which is a copy of U Turn starring Sean Penn.

cha pai, listen to Musafir and Zinda songs they simply rock..both of them have a club and lounge version..i listen to them whenever i m travellin (driving)

in mah opinion remakes (holly/intra-bolly/molly/tolly/lolly/etc) should be banned.

Sirjee, 'Kaante' was a scene to scene copy of 'Reservoir dogs' except for the heist scene & scenes imvolving the heroines, which weren't in the original.

I don't recollect any similarities with 'Usual Suspects' & 'Heat'.

Sarkar was a clever remake or "inspiration" of the Godfather. Even Mani Ratnam lifted a couple of scenes from 'Godfather' & 'Once upon a time in America' in his highly acclaimed 'Nayakan.'

'Agneepath' was a lousy & stupid remake of 'Scarface'. Big B sucked big time as the gangster with that funny "Bhai" accent.

When they are all arrested and put in same jail cell in the beginning. Its a lift from Usual Suspects. The way the cops go about rounding up these usual suspects. Even the conversation the suspects have and Amitabh suggests we should hit them (police) where it hurts. Whynot get together and do a heist. Thats how they collaborate on the big heist.

The actual heist scene is lifeted a lot from the heist in Heat. The way they rob it, the way they retaliate the cops, the way they escape.

The director just added hints of these movies but as you said its more of a REservoir Dogs copy.

Since I had loved Kaante, I must have seen it like 4 or 5 times. I could notice these small things only when I saw it for the 2nd time.
