India :Assembly Elections

How unlikely is that! Early trends are showing congress doing good in almost all the states except MP. Economy is in bad shape, inflation is skyrocketting, rupee is weak, terrorist attacks are on all-time high and no anti-incumbency from voters.
I am really expecting BJP to do well in Delhi this time, Sheila Dixit govt. is pathetic, not that I have high hopes from BJP but at least there will be a hope.

Chitrala, we all know how good early polls from our 'secular media' are!

Re: India :Assembly Elections

I thought there were talks of not airing the exit polls until the last phase of elections as it does affect the voters.

people deserve the govt. they elect. if these folks care more about 'secularism' or 'their 100rs and liquor', then they deserve the apathy and degradation Kangress and its allies unleash on them!

people who cant live with it can either fight it by becoming politicians or run away from such apathy and degradation of the nation by moving to other countries.

Re: India :Assembly Elections

Rajasthan: I may dislike Congress but I always admired its skills. Vasundhra has really done great work for Rajsthan,I have first hand info of it. But Congressi skillfully proved her to be arrogant and High handed . Also they proved that both Rajnath Singh and Advani have ignored Rajasthan as they have not visited Rajasthan during Chamunda tragedy . What great they would have done not being in power by visiting it . Also Vasundhra was quite strict. She has really brought out Rajasthan from the tag of BIMARU state. Bad loss for her, anyhow people of Rajsthan though brave have dubious record of supporting foreigners and giving preference to their own personal egoes and rivalry.
You can understand now how India would have been subdued by Mughals. If Kings of Rajsthan would have united they would have kicked them out. But for them their own egoes gets preference. Now this victory will strenghthen Sonia only and after some time instead of Ashok Gehlot some converted Christian will be made CM of Rajsthan.
Sad day for India

Re: India :Assembly Elections

Delhi:: See we indians have Congressi mentality in our hearts. If we selct any other alternative then either it could be a totally "rama rajya" or a total fraud, buffoon ike Laoo,Mulayam. Any place which has a scope of "Kamayi" except Gujrath if a true revolution is not needed, then by principle people will always vote Congress as Congress takes care of "Kamayi" of all .

BJP has a bad habit of stopping "Jugad Pani". So when new state was formed BJP won but after that when things got better people will always select Congress.

BJP has to learn to deivse strategies to win people's vote during good times.
Otherwise they will get shocks like Delhi. E.g despite BJP's good performance in 1999 Congress won elections by making Onion's price an issue

Re: India :Assembly Elections

Madhya Pradesh: Hats off to people of M.P. Shivraj Singh is what the future Indian leaders should be. Disciplined, silent, honest but ruthlessly efficient.Other than development he has finished off SIMI from his state. Despite Uma Bharti's dirty tricks he won. He has brought M.P out of BIMARU tag. His massive victory is the biggest treat. BJP CM's have never won second term except Modi.
M.P has voted for a great future, now its responsibility of Shivraj to keep up the promise and make M.P one of the most progressive states of the country.

Re: India :Assembly Elections

Chattisgarh:: This is one landmark election and BJP's win will be the turning point in history of India. Despite all the great Development Raman Singh has done,e.g Chattis Garh has zero power black offs and supplies power to neighbouring states. His victory will break the backbone of Naxalism in India. He has really put Naxalism to a brink In Chattisgarh. Victory of that corrupt Ajit Jogi would have been disastorous. Other than increased Missionary activities(Ajit Jogi is converted Christian) he would have abandoned "Selva Judam" and Naxallites would have maintained a false peace in his tenure thus giving a false impression of his policy working. Naxallites would have regrouped and that would have been disastorous for India.

Hats off to Tribals of Chattisgarh for voting for a great future. They have shown great maturity than well fed gentry of Delhi .
Chattisgarh would be a leading prosperous state of the country in some time.

Re: India :Assembly Elections

BJP CM's have to perform exceptionally well and almost like "Avtars" if they have to win again. Why such hard expectations people have from BJP,I can't understand.

People of Delhi are really stupid. Tell me, citizens of a Capital City of a Powerful nation in world saying that Sheela has done lot of good work, what work ,she made lot of Over Bridges . This is pathetic and shameful. Can you imagine Beijing's Citizen talking like this
After Bombay's incident at least delhi people should have voted for national issues of terrorism and inflation .
But they disappointed .

Now Afzal's file will always be in Shiela Dixit's cabinet and Inspector M.C Sharma's encounter will be proved fake

Cant imagine Beijing citizens talking like that because they have no voice! People have voted for they thought is best for them. We can disagree with it but its people's decision and we have to accept it!

Re: India :Assembly Elections

Search recent threads. I had said that if Congress wins then Hindu persecution will be complete and Sadhvi will be hanged. If people want Congress then they deserve Congress. Only thing bad is that Congress has created a fictional label of Hindu Terrorism now. As I have said many times. Its the govt that we deserve...

Re: India :Assembly Elections

I agree with you Cha -Pai,if you see Pakistani Chanels or hear Pakistani panelists they are talking more about Colonel Purohit and Pragya than our own Channels.

Congress has given Pakistan a stick to beat us. Any how Narayan Raane knows which ministers are involved in Mumbai attack .

Rajasthan loss for BJP is acceptable despite of good work because of Vasundhra's arrogance but Delhi's loss is a real shock.

Either Delhites are too insensitive or there are too many Bangladeshis in Delhi Both are dangerous situations.

Pakistan must be laughing in its belly that our own Capital's citizen don't consider terrorism as an issue, with what face can India talk now to Pakistan.

No matter what wonders Sheela has done(All arrangements for commonwealth games ) or how crap BJP was,Delhi's people must have given a strong message to central government.
