Re: Netflix movies worth watching

^^^ Had seen it long ago,... sets and dressings achche the,...( alibaba 400 chor aur Razia Sultana ki yaad dilwa di ) ( I guees, kiran kumar was there as Villain, RT ? ) at that time, I'd rented that VHS thinking that,.. the famous,...Jumma JUmma song was in it,...and song never came till movie ended,. ( i never knew it was from " Hum " ) after that, Sri and Big B had break up,..... after having worked in 2-3 movies together as Sri always tho't that Movies meri vazah se chalti hai,...I am Superior... aur Big B ki vazah se meri, 1-2 movie jo pit gayi,..

Subhash Ghai and Big B had 25 years of ego-war and feud going on,.... Coz when movie " Devaaa " was signed up by Ghai and Big B as a star,.. it was having big B, in same get up of KhudaGwaah,..( perhaps story was the same too ) but due to ego war, the movie was shelved,. and next 25+ yrs they never looked at each other,...till 2008 somewhere when big b was operated, Ghai went to see him,..

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Rogue one is there. I saw it on screen sometime back, so, am not bothering. But Bachcha log are loving it. I am not finding any Hollywood movies to add, but couple of Bollywood movies after I finish Singh Saab.
1. Aarakshan 2. Bheja fry 2.

Usual disclaimer is that my tastes are contrarian.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Kaabil dekh raha hun,.. Netflix pe,.... Chal raha hai,... Theek-theek jaa raha hai,....

Yami is more yummi than I'd thought before,...

Another attempt by a director after movies like Koshish, Sargam, Barfi,..
of,......... Andhaa, bahera, moonga, goonga, Loola-langada,..... and thus to, generate a feelingful and emotional climate / stratosphere of sympathy
and thus,.... bundling his own beg of portfolio with handsome filthy-wealthy buck-load / boat-load of moolaah ......

I still repent the day I went in to see Aarashan in the movie hall with friends. The trailer was shown like we'd get a whole lot of reservation debates and confrontation but dumbfuck movie was about war of tuition classes with reservation as a backdrop.

If I ever run into Prakash Jha, the director of the movie, he'd get an earful from me.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Movie Kaabil was better than expected,.. nthg new,. same vengeance,.. sort of Big B's movie aankhein,... but found it lot better than, that yawn-maker crap, Dangal,.. I always love, romance,.. as it tastes real acting talent power,.... than those wire-crane-rope assisted humbugs...

Watch it, it holds you..... and not lets you getting bored,.. however don't just expect just too much,..

Next on netflix be - Lion that Indian star's Oscar fame,... ( My library is, not yet having even DVDs, many ) - Is this 'Rogue one - star wars' ( i saw there) is new one, or of the old series, that came 10+ yrs ago ?

Arakshan have not seen it yet,... that multi-starrer " Rajneeti " from same guy, also had not impressed me, much.......

I am still dearly missing Ashly's Umraavo-jaan,.. can't find anywhere.... and some1 told me, it will never be on DVD ! Uh !

Thanks for the heads up. The first half hour or do seemed to range from casteusm to people dying to get into STM ( for movement I thought it meant Science Technology and Math)

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Finished a couple of old movies 'professor' and 'prince'. I don't see it worth watching them end to end. So, I keep forwarding till I see the songs and watch the end most of the story happens then .

Also am seeing Mughal e Azam to catch Prithviraj Kapiir's dialogue style which was parodied by mehmood in Hamjoli.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Watched the older movies.. wifey is correct that stories and acting was ordinary in those times but lifted by some great music.. i guess there was no other entertainment compared to cinema so they just shot in hills, abroad and keep it watchable for families. Few stood out even then.

Looks like you missed the point completely. The major moment of the movie was when Amitabh was asked point-blank whether he supports reservation or not. And he hesitates. Why because how is one supposed to answer this question This is a classic conundrum where justice itself is an injustice. So how do you solve it. Since Amitabh cannot answer this question, he goes back to solving it in the way he thinks is best. By making the foundations strong... and fighting the very thing that is cracking this foundation, tuition classes at a high price (only the rich can afford).

The point of the movie was to eliminate the debate of reservations itself by removing the need for reservations. Make the foundations strong... at the grassroots level. I thought this movie was excellent... both for its acting and direction. Of course, not a movie cinema hall excellent but good for the small screen, to be watched at leisure and ruminated upon.
