Super Max International - Format

I love the format... its sweet. I think this is the kind of Cricket - short and exciting - that can develop in USA (it's not so popular here because it takes so long, which is the main argument).

Anyway, here are some rules I got from CI:

General:
- The time frame of each match is between 3 and 3 1/2 hours.
Each team has 2 innings, each consisting of 10 overs (i.e. a total of 20 overs per team for each match).
- There are 11 players per team plus a twelfth man. The additional twelfth player is a specialist fielder, who can be used for interchange in the field at any time.
- If a no ball is bowled the batsman is not out, neither can he be dismissed off the next ball. The no ball must be bowled again. If a wide is bowled the next ball after is still a free hit (NB: the normal penalty of one run will not apply to the No Ball).
- If a wide is bowled, 2 runs are scored and the ball must be bowled again.

Batting:
- If the ball is hit into the Max Zone, the batsman's run(s) are doubled. So if the batsman makes 1 run he scores 2. Similarly, if the ball is hit along the ground through the Max Zone boundary for 4 the batsman will actually score 8 or if hit over the Max Zone boundary on the full the batsman will score 12 runs.

Bowling:
Each of the bowlers can bowl up to a maximum of 4 overs each per match. There are no restrictions per innings.

Fielding
- In the first 5 overs of each innings only 2 fielders are allowed outside the circle and 2 catchers must be within 13.72 metres of the batsman.
- In the last 5 overs of each innings only 4 fielders are allowed outside the circle.
- If any fielder, in an unsuccessful attempt to run a batsman out, hits the stumps with the ball, no additional runs may be scored. The ball is not dead and subsequent run outs may be attempted.
- No fielder is allowed in the Max Zone as the ball is being delivered.
