Re: Anna in politics
Yes maybe some candle-light vigil types maybe there . But I cannot believe that all of them only came there for their 15 minutes of fame . Many people from all over India answered the call, not just Delhi .

Re: Anna in politics
I and my friends, ourselves roamed the streets of Mumbai seeking support for IAC campaign. I can safely say that most of the people who supported us will give up easily very quickly in terms of any real fight.
The government heavy handed clamp down on Baba's Ramdev was to send a clear message, not to Baba Ramdev or Anna, but instead to these people. In terms of any real fight, these people will not stand up against it. Not their fault too, would you risk serious injury or jail or legal complications just because you support Anna or Ramdev. Most of us will not and it is not fair for us to expect them to do so really. The sad truth is that the Indian middle class has no spine. Most of those who came out to these fasts/maidans did so as much as a part of a feel good exercise as with a real but feeble intention of changing the system. They want the system to change, but will not take the effort or risks themselves and therefore it can be safely said that IAC failed not because of the efforts of Anna or this evil government, it failed because we lack the will to see things through its rightful conclusion. We failed, not Anna.

No fund raising, just signing up volunteers.
