Bhaiya , I will take my chances . A Company that does not respect my freedom of choice is a company that does not respect its employees .

Good riddance is all I say ..

Very True , and it is ironic that the resume in India is formatted this way . Lot of unnecessary information is required . Like naukri ke saath stock options and one chokri also if single .

I knew of his grad students playing with this since 2008...so, in fact his grad students solved the problem...he gets a free ride because he wrote a proposal and got monies from DARPA or some agency like that

You can always say you don't have a FB account...if they find your pic...you can argue that somebody may be impersonating me and that I will look into the matter

Software Detects Motion that the Human Eye Can't See

A new set of software algorithms can amplify aspects of a video and reveal what is normally undetectable to human eyesight, making it possible to, for example, measure someone's pulse by shooting a video of him and capturing the way blood is flowing across his face.

JaySpeech was talking about electrons (as in Feynman Lectures on Physics, vol 3 chapter 1)....

Re: The age of Big Data

There is already a semi quantum computer available in the open market: D - Wave One.

It costs 10$ million bucks a piece and is the size of a room.

I predict in another thirty years, all of us will be carrying pocket quantum computers.

History never repeats... it betters itself. Instead of pocket-quantum I would think quantum-injected bodies... a computer merged into a human... man-machines.

Re: The age of Big Data

So can your digital trace give an idea about how you are feeling.

This is a project by stanford university that indexes blogs all over the world to generate what the world population is feeling at any given time .

So many different feelings you head can spin
