The Japanese government plans to expand official development assistance to India and Pakistan, countries it imposed economic sanctions on following nuclear weapons tests the two nations conducted in May 1998, a government official said Wednesday.
The government plans to offer additional aid for yen-funded projects, such as construction of a thermal power plant in India and irrigation systems in Pakistan.
But the government will continue to freeze new grants-in-aid and new loans to the countries because they have not signed the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), the official said.
Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori will notify the leaders of the two countries of the planned expansion of ODA during his tour of Southwest Asian countries starting from Aug. 19.

My comments : Stop any kind of aid to Pakistan. Pakistan is neither trustworthy nor worth it. They should be totally isolated like Iraq. Clearly, all nations know that Pakistan is supporting terrorism in India. EVen if a nation thinks that they can sell their goods in Pakistan, does Pakistan have any resources left, besides spending on military and state sponsored terrosrism?
It is more likely that one day in the future, Pakistan will bomb the Japanese
