From Wikipedia: The series depicts a fictionalized account of the true story of the FBI's hunt for the man known as the Unabomber (spoiler alert).
The guy is a domestic terrorist who mailed/delivered explosives between 1978-1995 throughout US causing death, injuries, destruction and panic in the process. Law enforcement is unable to track him down as he's very careful and creative to remain elusive. This show is about FBI's struggle to catch him.

I am on episode 6. A very good show. Loving it.
Its nice to see that they based it on a true story.
Along the same lines is Mindhunter too.
