Re: Mahadev Shiv - the Supreme, the Ultimate

in hindu tradition, sex is never considered sinful if it is consensual, secondly yogi doesn't mean one can't marry. celibacy is only in Abrahmic religion in pagan religion like Hinduism, celibacy is part of life for first few years, you will not be relieved of pitra rin, if you dont give birth to your child unless your own father free you from this.

All rishis and mahrishis were married and had children, Rishi vashistha had 100 sons, Vishwamitra was married to Menaka, Ravan was son of rishi vishrwa, etc

Sex is the celebrated thing in Hinduism and it wasn't ever condemned unless case like disguised Indra and Mata Ahilya comes to scene

Historically, Bhagwan Pahsupati, is a Harrapan deity, the trilogy is nowhere mentioned in Vedas, his personality along with Mata ganga appears in post vedic literature. probably to assimilate local Harrpan culture shiva was adopted and was made the supreme deity to increase the influence of hinduism, actually according to Hindu philosphy, anything can be worshiped

He has 1000 names as sung in Shiv Shahastranaam, ask it to any Iyer
