H1Bs are needed not because there aren't enough Americans taking up computers but because there is a need for low cost labor in this field which the companies here want. Its purely about the balance sheet. And then those who come here from other countries and do their masters need some visa to stay and work here in their field. The US should come up with a separate visa category for these students who finish their masters and want to work.

And offcourse the H1B visa program needs reform.
seriously though, trump speaks about dealing these issues and he is immediately painted as a villain.

on the other hand, is there really any point in deporting kids born in USA from illegal immigrants? The human element of this story is quite emotional... you are right, there is a need for low cost labour. Same in UK too.... people cry about migration but nobody has the answer to labour problems.
