Stars Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman (this guy has stopped growing old)

The story is about the Bosnia phadda. If you know a bit about Bosnia problem, you will appreciate the movie more.

So, there is this american pilot (owen) on one of the NATO ships assigned for peace processes in Bosnia. This guy is bored out of his wits and decides to resign - "I came here to be a fighter pilot not a cop".
Gene Hackman, in true bollywood style, refuses to accept the resignation but keeps it in his pocket with a promise that he will accept it after 7 days. In the meantime if Owen wants, he can have it back. The brainy, imaginitive ones would have already guessed that within 7 days something's gonna happen. :)

Well, this something that's gonna change the movie is a small reconoissance mission to Bosnia on which this guy and another pilot are sent. They have been ordered to click some pics and bugger off. Well ofcourse, this mission couldn't have gone smoothly, or else the seven days would have passed and this guy would have resigned and the movie guys would have had to play a porn movie after that to make sure the audience do not rip off the seats. So, these guys are spotted by the Serb armymen who shoot a couple of SAM heat seeking missiles at them. What follows, in my opinion, is the best scene of the movie. For 10 minutes the planes try to dodge the missiles. (Dejavu topgun). In the end the missiles strike and the plane is down. The other pilot is shot dead by Owen escapes. The rest of the movie is about how he dodges the enemy and finally makes it back with the film roll (Have you ever noticed, that in every movie the most crucial thing on which both the parties wanna get their hands is always something small and compact. A bag, or a capsule, or a diamond, or a tube, or a floppy, or a film roll, or a syringe :D)

The movie, like I said, is passable. Can be viewed if you are having a hard time deciding which one to watch.

:D @ hangal.

Some people are born old and they stay that way. People like Om Prakash, AK Hangal and Ashok Kumar. Black and white kay time say buddhay haiN aur abhi tak buddhay hi hain (the in case of Ashok Kumar)

In the movie, I liked the scene when their planes are being chased by SAMs.
