Guys,

Would like to see what hollywood movies people like?
If this thread has been done before, apologies.

Mine are listed below.

2001 A Space Odyssey
Raging Bull
Taxi Driver
Apocalypse Now
Godfather
Chinatown
Double Indemnity
Citizen Kane
Almost all James Bond movies
Dr. Strangelove
Pink Panther movies

Obviously this is a partial list. Would love to talk to folks here.
BTW, is anybody out here a fan of Klaus Kinski? Would strongly recommend people to watch Aguirre - Wrath of God. It would be some experience.
Would also be interesting to talk about non-hollywood movies, what say?

You know the thing about Usual Suspects.
It zaps you the first time. U think you have seen something astral (u usually don't understand it the first time).
Second time, you commend the intellect of director (start understanding the movie). But subsequent viewings tend to disappoint you.

Anyways, Spacey rocks in the movie.

I am in to movies by ED WOOD. He was voted the "worst director" and some of his movies the "worst ever produced in Hollywood".

All his movies are now considered cult classics, and not without reason. You'll have to see them to understand why. I in particular love his "Plan 9 from outer space" and "The night of the ghouls".

Even Aishwarya Roy will have to wait for my ;) attention,
if she caught me halfway through some ED WOOD movie!

:D

Didn't you like Saving Ryan's Privates ;-). I thought it was pretty good. Weren't the battle scenes great?

And am waiting for the movie version of lord of rings....
Yeah, me too!! Hope it doesn't disappoint like most of the adaptations.

The first of the series is simply amazing!! They have packed so many gags, quips, jokes in the movie hanste hanste pet mein bal pad jayenge. You'll have to see it several times to get all the humour. Strongly recommended if you haven't seen it.

Bigjeee one of my fav but it's a dark comedy. Not everyone's cup of tea. Last time (for third or fourth time) I watched it left me emotionaly drained.

Come on mate, terrence mallick makes much better movies than spielberg, battle scenes were great...but for 15 mins? After that the movie just meanders along into cowboy crap

Yeah, me too!! Hope it doesn't disappoint like most of the adaptations.

Well they have been making the movie for years now, and whatever i read on the net and saw trailers, looks awesome. But yaa lets wait for it before we comment :)
