After France and Argentina,it seems the turn of Italy to face the play off tie for the world cup 2nd round .Either they win against Mexico today or they are out of the cup ,while Mexico on the other hand just need a draw to advance to next round ....

Does anybody remember Italy had played this kind of match against Nigeria in knock out round in 1994(?) world cup when they were 0-1 down till 88th minute? In that match Roberto Baggio had fired the equalizer for Italy minutes before the whistle and then he went on to score one more goal in the extra time to win that tie.That was a real thriller of a game......

Brazil last won the world cup in 1994.
Before that they won it in 1970.
Add 1970 and 1994, it equals 3964.

Argentina last won the world cup in 1986.
Before that they won it in 1978.
Add 1978 and 1986, it equals 3964.

Germany last won in 1990.
Before that they won in 1974.
Add 1990 and 1974, it equals 3964.

So going by this logic, the winner of the 2002 world cup
is the same as the 3964 - 2002 = 1962 world cup.
The 1962 world cup was won by Brazil.

arguably the two best goals of the tournament so far were scored today - by brazil- edmilson and by mexico.

it was great to see the italians go through. it would have been sad if another big name had been knocked out.

Good italy went thru.. but personally.. I saw they were all over the place.. 6 defenders could not handle 2 forwards!!!!! mexico played a great game.. Italy's game was in total disarray.. Great game mexico..
