I dont think we will have a war

I pray that we dont have a war with Pakistan ... and I dont think we will.

The reason is that if we both used nukes then we dont have the necessary infrastructure on either side to take care of a post nuclear war situation like medical care, evacuation, etc.

I am sure that even of Pakistan is full of crazy idiots in the army ranks, they would not like to see their own people suffer a nuke attack... Same applies to us... we are not crazy but surely some sense prevails.

But seriously, India has been a democracy - however chaotic - and progressive since 1947 but our neighjbours are spoil sports. They cannot achieve what we did and so they turn on their full hatred in the form of religion and land.

a limited conventional war will not put pakistan on the edge of destruction. it's not as if we are going to occupy their country or anything.

i don't think the pakis will use nuclear arms. the main point is this. if something is not done then pakistan will continue to destabilise us forever, knowing we will never retaliate out of fear of a nuclear war. this way they, being the weaker nation all round, will win without a shot being fired.

yep the argument is true...however, with growing popular support for war or to end terrorism...any party in power has to curb terrorism or lose its seat. So, war is inevitable....but not as soon as it sounds. With Rummy (rumsfeld) headed to south asia, he may ask both India/pak to restrain and cooperate US in getting OBL(Ole' Bugging Laden):D
But as I see it India is trying to avenge Kargil(by diplomatic means) by having Pakis hang Musharraf.

What makes you think that the Pakistani's are crazy and what makes you think that the Indian's in incorruptible? God know George Fernandes isnt the most stable or cleanest politician around.

The only hope is the doomsday scenario scares the hell out of the politicians. Wonder where their families are .. are they still with them in Delhi? Or have they been moved to safe locations in the south / north east?
