Hi All,

this is another attempt to get some juice into this forum :) :)

students (in USA) are definitely the busy lot who do real work unlike those who are actually employed (a lazy buncha good- for-nothings who are paid ridiculous amounts of $$ to gossip on the web, as if the grapevines are not enuf ;) )

But looking at today's rather sluggish economy in USA I was wondering (for those who are still not out of that studies mode) if can school be a good alternative option? I feel if the company is really in some danger then one can always pick up those books ... fulfil that hidden/latent desire to acquire new knowledge... and humbly surrender all your time (and your butt) to the professors. :D

I am graduating with masters at this worst time to do so. But I do not have much choice as my Ph.D option is only in Fall this year. The job scene is kinda very tepid, to put it optimistically :(

Is there any downside to coming out of a job and going in for futher studies? Ofcourse, the pay is one thing but still wondering if it is not a bad choice, if the desire is there? Give me your two cents :)

It;s never too late to study provided if u have that devout desire which it seems u do have .

Infact I have friend in cisco in california who is himself planning to do his masters after a year or so .

Brainy bastards usually do that :)

Moreover I am personally of the opinion that Student life is the best part of life and specially when u have got bucks to Fu(k ...after a job experience.

Go for the phD if U have a Lust for it:up:
