Waqar bhai, Nischay is definitely decision.
Maine nischay kiya hain means I have decided.
Now your turn.

Jaagruthi is closer to awakening than awareness.

Simple Indian bhai,
Isn't the hindi equivalent for definite, nischit (not nischay)?
eg yeh nischit hain ke .....

Nishchay is sometimes used as definitely too.
for ex. -
usne nishchay hi aisa kiya hoga.

Netraji Behen,
Nischay may be a hindi word but it is borrowed from sanskrit. when borrowing happens the distinction between noun, adjective, adverb etc. blurs a bit.
My answer was based on my familiarity with Sanskrit. I would say nischay would mean 'definite', 'the state of being definite', 'definitely'. With my knowledge of Sanskrit I would think nischay is closer to 'definite' or 'certain' than 'decision'. PERHAPS THE WORD NIRNAY IS CLOSER TO 'DECISION'.

Thanks for the information, Waqar bhai. I think Simple Indianji's and Sunny are right. They have a background in Sanskrit which I don't. I had taken French instead of Sanskrit in school.
I haven't seen the dramas you mentioned. My only source for Pakistani dramas is the Zee. They did show Tanhaiyan and Waris, but I missed them. Pity.

u can contact your video stores the dramas will be their. and i think u were right because i saw the film NISHCHAIY (salman, karisma, vinod khanna) although the film was killing boring and fazool but its central idea was the "decision" of salman khan, and "definite" makes no sense about the film name.
so what other indians ' opinion about the actual meaning of the word NISHCHAIY

Waqar bhai, the Indian community in Geneva is so small that the video cassettes are rented out by the grocery store owners who happen to be Sri Lankan. They keep only Hindi, Tamil and Malyalam films.
The Pakistani grocery shop does not rent out video cassettes. So there you are or rather there I am.

Woh kya hain na Waqar bhai, my father-in-law was a diplomat with the International Telecommunications Union. That's how my husband went there, and after marriage I also went there.
Switzerland is not only beautiful but also a very safe place to live in. You can walk around freely even in the night and not be afraid of being mugged. And of course, we have Zee. And to tell you the truth, I hardly get time to watch films or the TV with a full time job and the household chores.

In Hindi,
Jagruti means awakening, awareness
like the freedom struggle call given by Gandhi was a jagruti for many who did not join it before.
Nischay in Hindi surely means "decision"
Like "maine nischay kar liya hai ki aaj se main religion bashing nahin karunga :D"

following dramas are also worth watching
1, khuda ki basti
2. funkar galli
3. hawaain
4. alif noon
but i think nowadays pakistani dramas and indian films are facing the same problems, lot of money and very much unnecessary commercialism come in these both which spoils the real spirit of art, you can enjoy the current paki dramas and hindi films for a time being and after sometime u forget them, this is just because of dangerously increasing commercialism fact and also lack of hardwork and dedication to acheive the best results

aini is simply stupid and childish presentation with no depth and attractiveness for viewvers, colony 52 was basewd on the life of middle class drama in the year 1952 just 5 years after freedom , it was good (one year old in pakistan) for just a time pass.
