Let us list down those things here which we think have reached limit and bound to diminish from now on.
1.) Match-fixing in cricket
I would have listed economic meltdown in US if I would have started this thread one year back.

So if ONE person here has leaned towards Congress you find it annoying? So if we all don fugga chaddis and chant Jai Shri Ram then you will take this point out of your list?
In my list only one point - 'No freedom to change political views'

Leaning towards and worshipping ...
there's quite a bit of difference, isn't there? Here we have discussions on all sorts of things with member's opinions varying widely and everything is tolerated - every view given its space, but let a Carnivore keep harping on one theme everywhere and deriding the other side regardless of the others' logic, and the members get riled.

Wrong again. With rare exceptions, most of the members here do see both sides of an argument, and do criticize the people they support. It does test one's moral fibre to criticize the person/ party one supports and to appreciate the good in the opposite side.
Just criticism / praise does not mean one is leaving one side or going over to the other.

Okay folks, you are right. BJP and RSS are the best thing that happened to India. Congress is the worst thing that happened. As long as I have the freedom to choose the political option which coincides with your choice, I think we all can sing Kumbaya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumbaya) and call it a day. Happy?

Sutradarji ... perceptions are as individual as finger prints ... no two are alike. I will request you to wait for Dhurendher and Mausi to open up and explain why they think as they do? Is it a case of Khatte angoor syndrome or is it lack of vigor to compete? Couldn't possibly be talent ... both have it in them and proof is in the threads for which they were crowned.
We have had hundreds of intelligent members who came ... conquered ... and left in peace. They have left behind some memory and some thoughts in the form of posts ... spread all over the archives among thousands of threads. Some posts do their memory justice and some do not. Some posts were self-poking, and some in jest and some pure self-indulgence. You read some of their posts and wonder in awe ... and next post all you can is yell in disbelief and yell 'what the fuck' ... Enters the COTW!
Suddenly we are made to recognize the talent and means some of our members use to engage the rest in to sharing thoughts. No mean task. And no two members use same tactics ... each talent as individual as finger prints and the perceptions.
COTW is not a sign of acceptance parse ... not really ... rather a recognition of an individual's ability to engage others. Just cause we are having fun need not mean we stop learning. There is so much to learn from some of our members. COTW adds nothing to an individual member's arsenal ... all it does is make it easier and obvious to the rest of us.
Let's pull few out for an example ... RRbhai was just another member ... he stands out today for doggedness pursuit as exhibited in his crowned threads! Credit for Premibhai's crowns goes to persistence ... and Rakhiji's for her willingness to accept with humility when presented with facts contrary to her own! I can go on and on. Dhurendher himself is a fine example ... for whatever reason ... he has revealed himself like never before ... and he did it in two threads ... two crowned threads. In due time when Dhurendher is no longer active at this site or has decided to join :D (sorry ... couldn't help it) our friends at other site ... our new members will have those two crown threads to remember him by and not just one liners of his trade-marked otherwise twinkles and thinklings.
A year or two from today ... new members will need to satisfy their curiosity for what made some of these crowned members so special. Tantric Yogi will just be an asshole while Ashdocji will be an enigma for his multiple crowns. Speaking strictly for myself ... COTW is a recognition of a specially talented individual's talent talent before proofs disappears in the archives.

ii lo ...til ka taad bana rahe hain...
To be fair to Pakkijee and Dhurs... I see nothing wrong with their perception. They are not criticizing COTW, they are just saying that past its novelty, it is past its prime.
There are pretty good chances that they would prove to be wrong. Esteemed members are still starting new and interesting threads, people are still participating and enjoying. Last week might have seen a slump, albeit for different reasons.
It is their hunch, do they need to come clean for stating their hunch?

Yes. I tell to you why. Mausi doesn't matter. She is just plain old housewife who cooks delicious food and takes color photos before partaking. Lets leave her out cause Mausi doesn't even know what we discuss in this thread. Is your mausi any different? They all alike. Everybody mausi semsem.
Dhurendher different. He superior skills. He many words which meaning I don't even know ... may be you know ... words like logical deductive skills.
I like to know why he think like he think. Mausi never mind.

Navee dulhan nav din kee and all the shit that follows. Lack of participation or number of views doesn't negate the concept ... is what I am trying to explain.
