Echans....we have seen our dear Cha pai cross over to the Congressi side. He has not explained why (he doesn't need to and we don't demand either) he crossed over (a few months ago he was pretending to be objective...but now he is rather overt). But this gives an opportunity to opportunists like myself to start a supposedly very interesting thread.

So, let's kick off with the question:

When cha started this kangress kangress thing , most people who used to take side of congress ,like marvelous , had been practically absent for months.

The whole thing was turning one-sided ,with everyone supporting BJP.

So ,cha started supporting congress ,so that discussions would be more two-sided rather than one-sided ,as they were turning out to be.

Also ,our cha has a habit of being attracted to success , and at the moment congress has success in its hands........as people flock towards success ,so does cha........

I am one Indian but when a billion of my brethren decide to vote for Congress, I cannot but stop and take a look again at why this is so.

I never anointed Congress as God's verdict for India, but I have to admit that I understand why people want Congress. I am willing to see the other side with a fair and objective eye.

Today BJP has become irrelevant and I will repeat here ad nauseum now about Gujarat - Modi bhau is an exception and not the rule.

BJP has no agenda. Only irrelevant agendas like Ram Mandir!

Another reality which people dont understand here is that Muslims in India cannot be wished away despite the problems created by a few. Co-existence and peace are the only way out. Congress is the only party which can ensure peace and harmony between the Hindus and Muslims. BJP, RSS, Bajrang Dal and VHP types are out for trouble and rioting.

Shiv Sena ended as a real party when Raj left and Uddhav took charge. MNS is a good stooge and tool of the Congress party and I applaud Congress for breaking away Raj from SS. Its politics. Its allowed.

With Congress in charge in India, things will remain generally calm and progress will continue.

At this stage in life I would not like riots over Mandir or Masjid but a business park, shiny new malls, more jobs, better economy and overall prosperity. Who cares if Babar broke down a temple a million years ago or whether Lord Ram was born in that temple. I dont. I respect and acknowledge Lord Ram and he stays in my heart. I dont need to spill blood of people to build a temple for him and nor does his stature reduce just because some thug Babar demolished his temple.

Initially, I thought that Cha was being sarcastic and playing sort of devil's advocate... but he's put on the facade a little too long for that... I think, during his recent visit to India some recent convert from BJP/Sena to Congress has made him think hardly on this issue with his strong reasonings.

The other possible case could be, and I mean it with total respect:D, that age is catching up with him.:D Cha is showing signs of mellowing down, pragmatism is taking place of passion, irritation is replacing anger... Or Cha is in love all over again(hoping that once he was :))... so the Salman Khan Body and Love all, kiss all kind of message.
Now, this will be proven, when next Johar or Chopra movie would come out .:D

I think it is a case of love turned to hate. More than congress-bhakti, it is a case of BJP hate. Cha is behaving like a jilted lover, towards the NDA I mean.

I have never seen so much anguish here about me liking another political party. :p I am amused. And the reasons you guys are putting forth :D

before when you were supposedly SS-BJP supporter your participation in Indian politics thread was limited but since you have shown your true cong love,you have been opining on every political thread and look at the number of political threads you have started since then...it amuses or rather bemuses each and every guy on EC (except marvi) that is it this same sunit who used to be a BJP-SS supporter????

Earlier I knew that all of you here are for BJP just like me and we missed out on many topics because we would always side with BJP.

Now that I see how BJP is not what it really was before, I feel the need to highlight what I think is wrong with BJP.

Please note that I dont hate or love any party like some of you. I am just changing my views based on what I have observed. In politics there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies just permanent interests.

Today Congress has proven once more that the people find it in their interest to vote for Congress. I am just studying the reasons why people find Congress in their interest and have come to a conclusion that there is something to Congress which is lacking in BJP and others.

confused would be the right word...we are not worried and marvi must be happy that he has got a company.Now since marvi has been rarely on EC,its you who will be psyched out every now and then by dragging congress in all threads..be it sports,festivals or even literature.And its fun to see you come out and defend congress sonia and her pillas...:p

Its okay if you guys gang up against me. I have the courage to defend my convictions. As I said, currently I like the way Congress is running the nation and I will continue to do so till something happens to make me look again at Congress.

they have dont a lot for the poor..like they extorted money from the rich during the license raj and made them poor by shutting their business on denial...thus the poor now feel secured and didnt feel alone.Congress always believed in equality,so they made sure that everyone is poor except their netas.

I thought you were nationalist conservative ... So that way BJP always made sense ... they are nationalist and they are conservative about their version of Hindutva which is what they want others to interpret India or Hindustan ...

personally, I think, Cha just got fed up with Indian Politics and Indian Sports (Cricket) ... He has given up on the latter and on the former, there exists no choice .. there is just one .. So he chose one (i.e. Congress) and now he is all set ... He has got it all figured out? d'ya ?
