that the late Padmabhushan VasantDada Patil was the best CM Maharashtra had. He was CM twice.

He was a real freedom fighter before 1947 and was much more educated than his actual 4th standard schooling.

He made Maharashtra the powerful Sugar House that it is today. The roads into inner viallges were hsi initiative.

He had a good team member in his Cabinet who later on went to become the Revenue Minister of Maharashtra - Sushil Kumar Shinde.

Sharad Pawar was always into breaking off MLA's and forming coalition governments. He started the PULOD or Purogami Lokshahi Aghadi government by toppling Vasantdada Patil's govt.

Sharad Pawar has always been interested in break-away poltics.

The only good thing that Pawar did was for his constituency Baramati.

Rest I think Pawar was just power hungry. He tried to get elected President of the Congress Party but was toppled by P.V. Narsinharao and others...
