Your title is misleading. Wipro isnt the first company to develop supercomp in India. C-DAC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centre_for_Development_of_Advanced_Computing) Pune is the company (Govt R&D organisation) that developed India's first super computer - PARAM 10000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Param). And these were developed as early as 97-98 (Remember why Pokhran tests were suddenly done in 1998!! There is big connection here.). The present fastest Indian supercomp developed by C-DAC called PARAM Padma which is rated at 171 on the TOP500 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOP500) (Supercomputers) in 2003.
Wipro might be the first India company to offer a commercial super computer!:smash:

It may help to remember that man went in space and then to moon without help of supercomputers, SR-71 was the product of a human insight and imagination....and today? man has to struggle to get to moon with supercomputers.
Insight into physics of the problem is simply irreplacable:D

Supercomputers are not spaceships! Man never can travel to outerspace using supercomputer. Man has to invent other space vaahans to go to moon.

Can we use this supercomputer to analyse all cricket games played by Australia and Pakistan and India. Maybe then we can know how to bowl and bat against Australi and Pakistan. Maybe then we can win.
Offcourse the supercomp might say - bowl an outswinger or short length but then the greats like Harbhajan and Tendulkar and Pathan and such great folks should know how to bowl :D or atleast not lose stamina or become injured :D
