medical insurance while on a one month trip to us

Hi folks,

Coming here after a long time :)

Would you recommend buying medical insurance while on a one month trip to US? If yes, which one?

I'm also planning to do some sightseeing on the way and way back. Does anyone know if it's possible to get round-the-world tickets from an indian travel agent? Are they less expensive/more expensive than the regular return tickets?

Don't waste you money for just one month.
Especially if you are hatte katte naujawaan.;)


DO NOT buy those 10 trips for few $$ tickets. Those ones are scams. each trip is a lag/section. So for an example you wanna go to NY to LA, and (ofcourse you will not be allowed on non-stop flights with those tix) your journey is with 3 stop overs, you lost 4 trips right there.;)


So plan ahead sightseeing carefully, and buy tix that way. Don't fall for travel agents (especially those mom n pop places). Check/shop around.

ICICI is much better,
I had an aquintance getting in to accident and the other passenger died,
ICICI came to help much better where as the another person who had LIC was in waste.

the hospital bill cost almost 50 K for ICU (11 days)
