Ingredients.

2 PARATHAS
1 GOBHI (Any gobhi will do).

Take the parata. Keep the gobhi on it (the whole one.. do not cut..). Put another paratha over it.. put some jam/jelly/ketchup if you want.. enjoy..

Quick to make but not so easy to eat.

It would help if the gobi (the whole uncut one) is microwaved for 5 minutes.

BTW, khopdi thread title hain "aloo paratha" aur message body mein "gobi paratha". Subah subah chadhayi nahi kya aaj?

Aloo paraatha (or for that matter any vege) is the same.. just use 4 or 5 whole aloos instead of 1 gobi. Larger the better.

Khopdi bhai naraaj ho gayaa. Ye le bhai ek such much ka recipe.

Ingredients

1 cup of finely chopped gobhi(cauliflower)
1/4 cup of very finely chopped onions
1/4 cup of finely cut tomatoes
3 cups of wheat flour for paratha
6 green chillies
3 spoons butter
1 spoon salt
corriander leaves (I like curry leaves added also)

Vidhi (differnet from the original style):

Cut the chillies into very small pieces.

Take a kadhai. Add oil to it. Put some mustard and let it pop. Add some urad dal (tarka.. I cannot live without tarka in anything!!!). Add green chillis and curry leaves. Add the onions and stir until a bit golden brown. Add the gobi and stir for couple of minutes. Add salt to taste. Add the tomatos and stirr. Remove from stove.

Take wheat flour in a vessel, add the just prepared stuff, butter, corriander leaves and salt. Sprinkle some pepper and jeera powder if you have it. Mix all this with warm water such that you can make small dough lumps it.. meaning not liquidy. (If it bcomes too liquidy to salvage.. make dosas instead with that dough). Take small pieces of dough and flatten it with roti maker or on a belan chakla thingy into round parathas (well the shape does not matter..). Place the non-stick tawa on the stove . After heating, place the paratha on it and add 1 spoon of oil/butter on either sides of paratha. Keep it on the tawa until it becomes brown on both sides by repeatedly turning it over.

Enjay.. with some pickle if you have it.. if not do not be lazy.. run to the nearest stores and get a good Priya pickle (or any other brand you might fancy).

And big G.. refrain from comments on old age taking over or testostrone levels destroying my memory.. I already told ya I am getting a good check up.

A suggestion & a question:

Suggestion - When you are making the parathas, you'd take a lump of potatoes and fill the rolled roti with the lump. An easier way is to roll two small rotis, put the lump on one roti and cover this thing up with the second roti. Press around the sides and roll this union a bit. I've found this easier since the filling doesn't spill out.

Now the question - GpeL bro, what's the deal with this tadka of urad dal? Is the dal without chhilka?

Yes it is.. the split ones.. once it gets in a tarka it becomes crispy and tastes really really great!!
