According to the priest at the temple, Pandit Amit Prashar, more than 200 devotees started to assemble at the temple after 8.30 pm when somebody at the temple noticed that the idols were consuming milk.

Then I informed other devotees and soon people started pouring in. This is not the first time that the idols of Lord Ganesha has consumed milk from the devotees. Itnaa bol diye aap. You obviously are not a Hindu or you are "ashamed to be a Hindu" type Hindu.
Educated Muslims (not "ashamed to be a Hindu garden weeds variety" like you) travel from all over the word for pilgrimage to Macca Madina ... what simply is a Black Stone.
Educated Christians (not "ashamed to be a Hindu street food vareity" like you) flock to Fatima, Portugal where Virgin Mary appeared to 3 young girls ... what simply could just have been an illusion.
Us Hindus get blessed with miracle and "ashamed to be a Hindu coward variety" like you are up in arms.
Hey Ram.

Hmm... I dont think Ganesh-ji is interested in drinking milk once more.
Sutradarji ... this is not about Ganeshji. This not about milk. This has nothing to do with three or four chewtiyaa ids writing above.
This is to do belief. If several thousand fellow Hindus believe Lord Ganesh drank from them the milk ... is fine by us ... we understand and appreciate their need to believe and respect them for their beliefs ... least we can do. As it is too many hijras among us Hindus are busy cutting each other down.
So to wrap it up ... Sutradarji, this has nothing to do what I think but all to do with several thousand of my fellow Hindu brothers and sisters who simply believe that Lord Ganesha accepted their humble offering. I believe and I know they speak the truth. What chewtiyaas and hijras think is of least consequence.
Thread out there of people drinking dirty sewerage water in Mahim thinking God's miracle turned it sweet. A doctor has issued the warning of serious sickness for those who drink this water. Sutradarji, none of those people will get sick, I guarantee you ... not from drinking dirty water. Belief. Pick a stone off street ... believe in it and chances are that your wishes will be granted ... such is the power.

:) Yogiji...True very true. During my India visit there was a situation to drink hand full of river water flowing near temple, all other time I drank bottled or boiled water but when it came to faith I drank it without hesitation and nothing happened to me. You may not see Lord Ganesha drinking milk for real but a blessing power guards you when belief and trust exists strongly.

Tanyogee pai, now you see where you went wrong on your India trip... you did not believe... you did not have faith... you drank the bottled mineral water but had doubts in your mind... thus you fell sick... if only you had believed :D
Looks like this Ganesh god drinking milk is perfectly believable. We all know that Ganesh bhagwan has a large appetite... and now in 1992 he arrived first to drink milk (what he was doing before that, don't know)... not many people knew but still he got substantial milk to last him for 4 years. Then he got hungry and by now the news had better means of spreading... got much more milk than before... lasted him for a whole 10 years before he got hungry again. Ab ke doodh piyenge saheb tho pata nahin phir kab aayenge (what with internet as a medium) :D

Love to Surfbai ... that's why its called faith ... and faith has moved the mountains and parted the seas.

Idhar surat me bhi ganesha milk ka ho-ha hua tha.
Somehow, while some were feeding milk to the Lord, many of us were thinking of the situation just a week ago, when we had been flooded for 4 days and there was no milk even for young kids, drinking black tea for 2-3 days.. and we had to travel 7-10 kilometers, a lot of it wading thru' chest/neck deep water, and back, to buy milk for our marooned homes. Milk, water, essentials..
Maybe faith for some...maybe people were thanking HIM for bringing them out safely from troubled waters..lekin mereko achha nahi laga tha.
