Get a phone card from your home phone carrier.
Use it from anywhere to anywhere. Your home phone will be billed.
These days due to lots of competition, they charges same rate as home phone rates. No sur-charges, no extraa fee etc. This is for big companies like AT & T, SBC etc... Don't know about generic mom and pop phone companies.;)

You can get a Voip Phone.. like vonage.. and plug it in wherever there is hi -speed internet.. your number remains the same.. so you can dial from work/home anyplace with a fast net connection
