The use of the suffix "Bai" is solely restricted to our Tantric_yogijee to address all women eCharchans. Maybe he considers it a mark of respect to women.
All other eCharchans including Sane_Less, Padhu and others address all women here as "Tai".

Monaji ... you deserve explanation and hopefully Coolbhai's has been satsifactory?
Tomorrow perhaps ... on vaccation ... took a short afternoon nape. Afternoon napes always leave me dis-oriented for the rest of the day ... it has been like that since I was a teenager.
Some other time ...

Kaamwalli? Poor women works 18 hours a day keep your house neat and tidy so that Mem Sahibs can spend hours preparing for her shopping and bingo trips and you have tenacity to treat her with such disrespect ... Kaamwalli? Kaamwalli? She is not Kaamwalli ... she is your household help. What good is your stupid education if it did not teach you to treat all humans with respect and dignity?
btw ... Bhai Saheb and not Bai Saheb.
I am out of this bloody thread.
No offense. Apologies.

Household help as you call her is such a luxury in this part of the world. Its only in India that memsahebs can afford to go for bingo and shopping trips. If you have so much respect for her I am sure you can also show some respect to woman who works whole day. Outside India everyone of us ( specially women) end up doing all the work ourselves. isn't it??
If you ever go to maharashtra you will understand what I ment by baisaheb.
No offence taken. Apologies accepted

Dont know abt why in echarcha.
However -
1) in Madhya pradesh area, women are generally refered to as 'bai'
sisters call each other 'bai' too...
2) In bombay we call kam valis bai....
3) In marathi, females are referred as bai 'ti bai blah blah bolat hoti' and so on...

That analysis was very thoughtful and right on the mark!
But I don't think madhuri would be any sad that she is not getting her "right" role, she had her best times under the sun. As any right minded lady would do, she gave importance to have a family at the right time.
She should be feeling quite happy as she is not working for anyone but her own family. I respect women who succesfully juggle family & career and also hold high those who dedicate themselves entierely to their family. To each their choice.

I admire Madhuri and Juhi Chawla. Who got married at the peak of their career and settled down . Now they have the family, respect and also fame.

Thats not true. Actually, They got married when their career started going down from the "Peak". Kajol got married "at the Peak" of her career.;)
And Juhi did not officially declared her marraige until later on.;)

Madhuris interview
What about your adjustment in your new home? Have you made friends with the city?
Yeh, initially I was scared but if you have the desire and are ready to push yourself to your optimum level, you can do it. I was frightened to drive, to cook but I’ve made friends with the gadgets and their knobs and the alien roads. In fact, now I shop at the local supermarket, carry lunch to my husband at the hospital, browse in the shops, you can say I’m rocking. What finally matters is happiness in personal life and I have found that in my partner and my dwelling place.
