How to change your default web browser?

Guys and Gals,

I need help.

I am not comuter expert,
So here is a silly question.

How do you change default browser?

My laptop is set to this stupid SBC Yahoo browser. It suck big time. Since SBCYahoo is an ISP, long back when I started it, it got loaded along with the setup. I want to change it to either IE or FireFox or Netscape. How do I do this?
Anytime I click a link in e-mail, damn browser opens and takes long...to load.

Second question.

On my FireFox I can not see any avtaars.

Something in setup got messed up too....

Amtha Pai, in your firefox browser click tools/options and check the box which says that Firefox should check whether it's the default browser.. Close firefox and open again.. It will prompt you to change the default browser to firefox...

For the Firefox Avatar problem click tools/options in your firefox browser click on content and check the load Images box...

I am a little confused by Amtha's question.Are yoy saying that double clicking html/jpg files opens SBC yahoo browser?
If yes ,you can change it by going to Windows Explorer.Then Tools->Folder Options->File Types and then select HTML(or jpg or HTM) under extensions listing and click Change button.Change it to whichever application you like.

Lets say if you e-mailed me a link of some website, and I use Outlook for e-mail client and, If I click on that link, it opens in SBCYahoo browser.

Now we are not talking about yahoo-mail or gmail.

F_Fox set up as default browser now.:up:
But same way I tried with I E, And did not worked.:confused:

and also the image thingy do not work with only eCharcha.com :mad::smash:
Other forums work fine. I guess something to do with EC.:confused:
