i think robin should have been included in this side
did u see the middle order collaspe against zim the other day
badani out first ball and then mongia [batter] 2
robin singh is a gutsy player and is a very good finisher to cricket matches some1 like bevan of australia.
selectors say he is 2 old [38] but age doest really matter its fitness that matters and he is as fit as sachin [the fittest in the site acc to coach] if not more.
he plays good cricket and was selected in wisdens world 11 recently but he is not given a chance here.
i 2 belive in giving young sters a chance is good but not at the cost of respectable pillars of indian cricket.
that laandya azar and that jadeja have been removed and so space is there for 2 other guyz so why remove robin
i think the selction committee meeting should be telecast live on tv like the sansad & vidhaan sabha.
the people have the right to know whay a certain person is eliminated and whay another one is taken. after all they are playin under the name of our country

Hell yes Chirag, I agree with you completely on both points.
Point 1 - Yes, let them bring in youth, but only when the established players in the side can actually TRY to win the match. This is where Robin comes in. No one can doubt he is one of the most committed cricketers in Indian cricket. And yes, an all-rounder.....
Point 2 - Our f**king selection committee can't even go to the toilet on their own if they want to, they're that incapable..... f**king wankers, their egos let them think that since they have power, they can exploit it by screwing the future of promising players. Example - Mohammed Kaif, Sharandeep Singh, Gagan Khoda, Abey Kuruvilla, Amit Bhandari, and many others. If these bastards want to run an important part of the country's soul, let them make themselves accountable, or make room for someone who does... it is people like this who are responsible for our India's problems.
Now that I've vented my rage, please forgive my language. And please reply objectively... nothing pisses me off more than these bunch of jokers running our cricket..
Peace

Robin Singh should be in the team for many reaons.
1. His Fielding
2. On Some pitches he is good bowler.
3. He is a very good batsman low down in middle order and i think he is specialist 4 or 5 down player, Who can come and have a go rite from 1st ball. Which Dinesh Mongia or Badani cant do.
4.He can be useful as a pinch hitter also.

plus, even though he's 38, he's so good... he should be included in the team just as a booster for the younger guys. Yeh to sachcha patriotism hai... the guy was born elsewhere, but he's given more than sweat and blood to the country that he adopted, inspite of the fact that he was dicked over for so many years. That's one of the reasons he's one of my heroes.
Methinks Robin should be made the Indian manager or chief scout or something, he's just too committed to waste..... and he's just too good to let go !!!
Peace

I dont know link rite now. but Wisden(Prime cricket mgazine in England) has choosen 11 gr8 one day players(specialists) for world 11.
Robin Singh is the only indian player in that.

wisden mag of england is quite a biased magazine of cricket just like those pommies
the list doesnt good players from subcontinent or other coloured/black .its only composed of whites
a world 11 team without sachin tendulkar is unthinkable
the team is more like worlds 2nds ix
ne way
robin singh has been made a scape goat just like mohinder amarnath. robin singh will surely be fit till next world cup[and may be even later] if perseverd with he will definitely win the cup along with sachin and savrav

I agree with u chirag... but thats the team of one day specialist..i.e the players who plays only one-days like Bevan or RS or Nick night.
Sachin is best batsman no doubt, but he is overall best not only one day so his name not included.

i hate when people call robin singh a bits and peices player
he is not a complete allrounder though but a capable bats man and instead of terming him bits and pieces he could be said as a battter who can bowl. he has a five wicket haul[vs sri lanka] in oneday cricket.. so he bowls quite decently 2
if robin is bits and peices player then so is zulu klusner and jacqeus kallis

I think that is happening because of abundance of cricketting
talent in india.Come to think of it,a player like Robin Singh has to
wait in the ranks. So if you see,it augurs well for indian cricket....
