It's good. I have seen the one in Gujarat this one looks even bigger. It's good but makes you wonder if it's really worth spending this kind of money on temples. It could have been used for better social cause like to build schools for children, some kind of a charity program, something like that.

come on tapasvi....dont you get it?....it was built so tapasvis like you can meditate there and worry lesser about the less fortunate....

next thing you'll say why spend money on republic day parade, marriages, why burn firecrackers on Diwali? etc etc. How much money reaches charity?....Do you know if the money you donated for Katrina or Tsunami reached those in need or did someone like Natwar pocketed it....

And what exactly is taught in those schools? Knowledge to just earn for oneself. Is there any big charity on this earth other than providing spiritual charity and spreading true love of God to everyone.

East Delhi. Next to the Under Construction 'KHEL GAON' for Commonwealth Games. From ITO take the road to Laxmi Nagar, and on the signal after Yamuna Bridge, turn Right to take the recently opened NOIDA FLYOVER ROAD. The Temple's entrance is on this same road.

And Chhattarpur Mandir is a baby compared to this one.

No I don't, really I don't get it. You need a multi-million temple to meditate?! Not tapasvi like me..For me "Mai tapasvi, Meri kaya ek mandir aur mera jeevan ek tapasya"...baaki sab dikhawa..:)

I know government charity programs do not work. But this temple is not built by government, is it? I am sure it's built by a non-gov organization. People have money to give away whenever there is a religious demand but they their faces away when there is a situation really needing donations from them. I would have loved to see a school in a rural village getting modernized with better class rooms for kids instead of temples getting mordenized.

Republic parade is matter of pride for all Indians. It brings Indians of all faiths and beliefs closer. That definitely won't be something I'll cry about. As to marriages I have same thing to say. Sure have grand marriages you can afford it do it. But since you can afford you why not spend a few bucks for noble cause too?

I don't think its really going to happen apart from some free food for poor during few big festivals. Though swaminarayan sampraday is little different Lot of its followers are businessmen, doctors, industrialists, engineers etc highly educated and rich people basically. But as far charity and stuff I haven't seen it from swaminarayan followers either. And I am not saying that everyone shuold donate all the money. I myself don't believe much in socialism. But this money spent here on temple does not really contribute to any kind of progress.
