Saw the trailer for DOOM on TV just now

Folks,

My favourite first person shooting action game DOOM is being made into a movie. The Rock is starring in this film. The trailer was quite slick and I think the movie is releasing on October 21.

The creator of DOOM is Adrian Cormack. He started a company called id software. Earlier he used to work for Apogee games. Remember Wolfenstein 3D? the first 3d game for PCs? Well, id software created it. Then they made DOOM and DOOM 2 and DOOM 3 and now you have QUAKE!

doom has always been my favourite game. i even played the maximum addon levels on doom 2( yes, all 3000 of them!!) :D

i have seen the trailer on the movie website. i hope the movie lives up to the fans expectations.

I was playing pool last night on the computer when my wife yelled from the other room that they made a movie out of the game DOOM. I was like "Yeah Right!! What else did they not do ? (http://www.echarcha.com/forum/showpost.php?p=266295&postcount=10)". Today morning she said "The Rock" is in the DOOM movie. Now I am interested :)

After playing DOOM III, we had seen "DOOM III The Resurrection of EVIL" at Walmart, which has been conquered too. No, I don't like DOOM III. I only liked DOOM I, II and Ultimate DOOM (TNT, Plutonia, etc.)

Looking forward to seeing the movie.:)

I am excited about this one as well. Hopefully Rock uses the Chainsaw!

Somehow i just feel that this movie is gonna flop. Doom is great as a game but as a movie and you have to watch somebody just keep shooting away for 2 hrs, i dont think that will work. Lets see.
