To my knowledge, this stuff was played on Doordarshan whenever the Sunday movie would end up 10 minutes before the Hindi news time....some stupid ads followed by this type of cartoons:D
The best one i liked was the one with elephant with four men:D...the worst was about food conservation wherein Krishna gets satiated by a single grain of rice....at that time i used to think....this Krishna guy must be already full with so much offering from devotees...and could not eat more so to keep Draupadi happy ate just one grain of rice and belched in satisfaction....I suspect he farted in relief:D

And because of this film (the krishna one), I make sure that my plate is completely empty whenever I am done eating, not a single iota of food anywhere. Most of the time, my wife says she does not even have to wash the plate, just keeps it aways for my next meal :D
My favourite DD short film/cartoon was the one about tree conservation. There are these (white) egg-men who save a tree from being chopped down by a (black) egg-man and then they all end up dancing around the tree. And what a dance :D :D :D I still do it whenever we have a party :D

What i miss is that cartoon called Tree of Unity. Cant find that frigin thing anywhere. That was way too cool. It usually used to come after "Aamchi Mati, Aamchi Mansa" before the metro programs used to start at 8. Usually before "Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi". That was a freaked out series too.
